IPV2 worth buying or no?

I have been thinking about buying the IPV2 50 watt box mod. The reviews I've seen for it seems to show it as a good performing device but the build quality seems to be pretty cheap. If I'm going to spend $100 or more for a regulated device I want to know that its going to be fully functional a year from now.

If anyone has spent some time with this device could tell me how it is still holding up I would be thankful.

I got mine a few days ago and it's my all day vape too. The build quality isn't the best I've seen. The battery door isn't flush at the top so there's a bit of a lip. You wouldn't notice it if you weren't looking for it. And the only other problem is one day it started reading ohms weird. It was saying my iClear 30s 1.5 was anywhere from 1.4 to 2.4. But it stopped doing that now. Other than those things I think it's a solid mod.

NO!

WAIT, let me clarify....

HELL NO!!!

The auto fire switch should be a recall, only reason it isn't is because it's China so they don't have to follow quality standards we have set here in the US.
You're better off with something, anything really besides a mod that will self fire when wet.
Whether it can be deactivated or not is irrelevant, faulty is faulty, that in and of itself should be a clear red flag as to the quality of the rest of the internals.

Yeah, that's not too good. The touch fire button was my least favorite feature of the ipvs anyway.

I simply turned it off, took about 2 seconds and have had no issues since.

It is my first regulated mod, other than an MVP V2 and I have to say I love it. I can run sub ohm and non sub ohm builds with great performance. I hadnt noticed the lip of the battery door until someone mentioned it above, it is very minute. All in all I like it a lot but its up to you.

I would wait till you get a few more testimonials from people who actually have them though, dont just listen to people who have read about the problems.

Same, I have one, and mine seems rather high quality really. I didn't have glue issues as others have, and I also turned off the touch switch straight out of the box. Haven't had a single issue in 3 weeks. Not even one.

I use it all day every day.

you will probably like it, but I suggest waiting off. The IPV2s is coming out soon. Its basically the same, except it has no sensor fire button, its waterproof, and its goes to 60 watts. PLUS the IPV 3 has already been announced... supposedly its just slightly bigger than the 2 and 2s but it goes up to 100 watts.... BUT that being said, im sure 50 watts is more than you need and you will enjoy it

I LOVE mine, but then again, I only had spinner 2s and Itaste3 VVs before, and this is a heck of an upgrade. I've heard about that door thing, but mine is very well done. Everything seems to fit flawlessly.

JMarca on a mission to start his own recall with nothing more then PB review with a beta unit he was sent for the review. No first hand experience but is still scream hell no.

Now I will give you a review from a users point of view. First it is unsafe for you to run the battery down as far as PB did to make his point. Batteries should be charged when they have about 3.2 left on them as most of us already know from experience. Also, if you are going to lick your touch sensor multiple times to get it to fire then this is not the device for you.

I have had one for a month and it has worked flawlessly. I have dropped juice on the sensor without any issues. Mind you I did not lick it.

I have had no mis-fires and every topper I have put on it works perfectly. The only thing I would like to have seen them do better on was the rear cover. Mine lines up perfectly and my screws are solid but there should be a thin rubber gasket to stop juice from seeping behind the cover.

For a 50W device at or under $100 it is a good.

And JMarca, go through the site and count the threads where people have talked about their switches locking up while firing on mechs. Every device can have an issue. Licking the device or running a battery to low to be safe doesn't make a point with me. I like PB but he got a crap (beta) unit and took the opportunity to roast a decent device. And I said decent device, not great.

I have seen one with the 510 accidentally pulled out. An atty got stuck on it and manipulating it pulled out the 510. No locking nut on it or containment other than glue. It was a smooth cylinder on the outside.

A friend of mine at work has one, his ADV. He's had no troubles with it yet, but the 510 connector definitely looked cheap to me...when you can get a bulletproof spring-loaded 510 connector for under $5, that's a bit sad on a $140 CDN device...

Have had mine a month, works flawlessly. Not one problem. To the crybaby that said hell no, 1 review doesn't mean he shouldn't buy it, do more research on reviews until you blast something.

I couldn't agree more! My ivp2 has been flawless! This guy's review is way off or he got a fluke bad batch because everything he complained about isn't ture, at least not with my ivp2. Besides one review means nothing really, it's just one persons opinion. You have more people telling you it's a great piece of equipment here in this forum... if you don't get it from one review, your missing out on a great unit. I use the heck out of my ivp2 and it's flawless. I'd be the first to speak up if there was a problem. But there is not...
