IPV3 Hot Spots!!

So I know how to build and wick well. I've tried 28,26,24,22 as parallels, micros, & macros but I still get hot spots. I've tried everything from tightening down screws more, turning down the wattage, and making sure my coils are firing evenly. Even with all this I still get hot spots. I can't take a pull longer than a second and it needs to be freshly dropped. What the hell is going on?? And I've tried it on a tobh 2.5, tugboat v2, AND a patriot v2. All authentic. I. Don't. Get. It. This doesn't happen on my mechanicals.

Don't use [tiny] microcoils on a box mod. Make yourself some big, fat surface-area coils. Aim for around .3-.6 ohms (or higher).

It'll perform a lot better than smaller coils (on a box mod). The fire-up time might be a bit too much on a mech though.

Also.. the IPV3 isn't causing the hot spots. It's a glorified battery-shorter, its function is very hard to botch. The coils/RDA are where the problem would be (if you're getting hot spots). Are you pulsing to try and get the hot spots out? Have you checked to see if the ohms are fluctuating?

ETA:

You still want tight microcoil-ish coils, but you wanna go with a LOT of wraps ideally. Because you can adjust the voltage, you can make virtually any ohm suit your vaping needs. Don't build like you would on a mech.
