Hey all i just got an ipv4 and I was just curious if i had to take the batteries out of the box mod when it is not in use. I ask this because I remember reading somewhere that its not good to leave the batteries in any mod even a mech mod when its not being used. I always took the batteries out when not in use in my mech mod but this is my first box mod. Just wanted to make sure it was ok to leave batteries in let me know thanks fam !!

If you're not going to use your mod for a LONG time it is best to remove the batteries. By LONG time I mean months or years, not just a few hours or even a couple of days.

It's the same with any electronics device that uses batteries. You do not want to put the device into storage with batteries in it. However, if you're just not going to use the device for a day or two then there is no harm with leaving the batteries in the device.

With it being an IPV4 I can see where he was told to take them out. there is the issue with the charge ballancing board shorting out against the 510 pin and causing devices to short out or catch on fire. simple solution is to simply remove the balance board and be done with it.
