I would need positive proof off this before I order. I was one of those who got caught up with a pre-order in the IPV3. Said it would have touch sensor. Did it? No. Said out would have USB charging. Did it? No. Unfortunately, I had already paid on a non refundable pre-order before they decided to change the features. I will admit, it is a good unit for what it ultimately came as.

Well, p4u and yihi have confirmed that the ipv3 is now shipping out with the SX330-V4S chip instead of the V3S chip. The V4S chip is known to have temp control. The devices were originally slated to be in vendors hands mid March, but because of the chip change they they shipping out until late March/early April.

It was already a great buy in the pre-order group buy. This is just a nice bonus. It will hopefully function as well as the new SXMini, which has reportedly passed temp testing with flying colors.. . 67.00 was easy to agree with. It could end up being the bargain of the century.....

The chip is using the exact same algorithms as the mini chip so it will operate the same. The main differences are no buck and no power settings on the 330. If the temp control works, those won't be missed.

Looks like the batteries will be in series, input voltage 6.2v-8.5v, output voltage is 1.0v-7.0v, so it will definitely buck voltage, doesn't look like it can boost voltage.

The Smog Distribution website has it listed as $62.84 incl. USPS Priority Shipping when it will supposedly arrive stateside sometime in early April.
Expected shipping date from China is April 1st.

IPV4 [Pioneer4you] - Smog Distribution

Seems like a nice unit. Really new on the market though but it does have a two battery capacity. The only negatives for me are the battery cover styling and the newness of the chipset itself.

I think I'm still going to go with the HCigar HB DNA40 though.

I personally can't wait. I pre-ordered mine already! I saw this place on vaping cheap iPV4 100 Watt Box Mod they're the cheapest place offering pre-orders for the IPV 4. I just hope the temp control actually works.
Smog Distribution has a group 3 preorder going right now. Still at $62.84. It does say that these probably won't arrive until late April, due to demand. I got into group 2 that is suppose to ship with first orders at beginning of April.

I'm curious to see whether the chip is as functional and awesome as the SX350J that is inside the SX Mini M Class. That's going to be my deciding factor. I've been wanting a higher wattage box w/ temp control but the size of the IPV4 what keeps me on the fence. I understand that it has to be larger to hold the 2-18650's. I'm just too familiar with the size of mechs and boxes like the RDNA and the Hana Modz. I'm a pocket holder so I have to take that into consideration. Same concept when deciding on a new phone. I'll check it out the videos once they come up. Hopefully, the price doesn't shoot through the roof after all the pre-orders are done.

I hope the temp sensing works as well as the sx350 also. The only negatives I see so far are the ugly design which is subjective. And looking at the board on the Yihi wesite the Usb charging port will be on the bottom. But it will have a functioning one so I guess we cant complain too much. I ordered mine today you cant go wrong with a $67 100w dual 18650 box mod even if the temp control is sub par. If it isnt then it could be the deal of the decade.

It doesn't have USB charging. The USB port is for firmware updates only. Just FYI.
