IPV5 low resistance help!

Help! My IPV5 is giving me a "low resistance" error message when I try to fire using a .27 ohm build on a csmnt atty. I've tried several different coils and atomizers with none of them firing. The IPV5 should fire down to .15 ohms and it's worked in the past...

Does anyone know how to address this low resistance problem? I can't seem to find anything on this in the manual and the manufacturer is no help at all. They actually referred me to this forum!

The center pin is a possibility. I've had an ipv-5 for awhile, and was using it a lot at one point. I will say that once, actually right before a new mod arrived, I had some issues for a while where the mod didn't want to stay on, or would turn itself off automatically, or need to be turned on twice. I cleaned out the battery ports and the pin as well, and after that it worked fine again. I vaped that thing on fairly low wattage though, and high resistance coils, so I haven't had that particular problem, so it could be something else. That said, starting with a good clean of your mod is a reasonable starting point, I think.

I guess it's good juju that they referred you *here*, but really, they didn't have any ideas for you??? Wow.

How long have you had it?

Thanks for the tip! I'll try it out. I've had it for months but used it off and on as a backup. Always worked until now.

On a side note: I noticed that you could set the resistance on it, which I've tried but it doesn't seem to "hold" at the resistance I choose. Could this be part of the issue? Any knowledge around what this setting actually does?

How long have you had it? You could try fooling around with the pin some more. If you can take it to where you bought it or a good vape shop with an employee who's good at fixing mod problems, to see if they can assist you. I've done that with good results in the past, with things I thought were "unfixable." I had a tube mod that looked like the leaning tower of Pisa after I dropped it (only with wires sticking out everywhere....) The shop guy fixed it.

TBH I don't know too much about settings ATM as I really didn't play around much with the other settings. I guess it could be your settings. I watched a few youtube videos/reviews and they were quite helpful in demonstrating setting though, so you could try that to make sure your settings are where they need to be.

Good luck!

Anna
