Hi, hope this is the right spot to post this in. I haven't been on in a while, as I had been satisfied with my basic vaping. However, just came across a concern I wanted to get some feedback on.
I'm a basic vaper. I've been using a Sigelei 75W mainly (since the Cuboid 150W my buddy gave me quit registering atomizers), with the Nautilus Aspire a user was kind enough to hook me up with (and since my Aerotank Giant just quit working/making a connection on any of my devices; thanks, Sir2fyablyNutz!). I use basic 1.2 - 1.8 coils, and vape between 5.6W and 5.8W (currently 5.8). Nothing fancy, nothing too in depth.
I recently did some research, and read that the IPV5 was one of the better units available, and was looking for a 2 battery unit like the Cuboid was since I liked the battery life 2 batteries provided. I ordered one, got it today, got my batteries charged, and was ready to try it out. Didn't know until I tried adjusting it that it doesn't go lower than 10W. Ugh.
I don't want to burn through my coils, and the 5.8 setting seems ideal for me. Don't want to go messing with higher wattage if it's going to reduce coil life or damage them outright. Also don't want anything else to happen either.
I guess my question would be, is the 10W too high for my vaping habits? Should I just eat whatever loss I might incur (if I can't easily return the item and have to resell it) and get another unit? I did get it in case I wanted to delve into something more intricate later on, but if it doesn't support my current usage, then it might not be worth just using as a paperweight until that day comes, if it ever does.
Kind of disappointed with this, didn't realize it had a minimum 10W setting, and not really liking the idea of throwing money away on something I'll never use. I did just get two tanks from Ebay, one Atlantis and one Subtank mini (all in one auction; go me), also wondering if either one of those would be best suited on the IPV5 and if it would be in my best interest to keep it to use with either one, or both, of those.
Any input and assistance will be greatly appreciated on this one. Thanks in advance.
