Lmao ! Damn good idea ! TG I'm not colorblind also. Old lady's gonna luv that.
Yeah, well, there is no preset for 430 stainless, so using the presets is not a viable option for that. Plus, when I made a 316 coil and used the preset the temperature was cold. I honestly think I will simply return the 2 ipv6x I have and buy more DNA200 devices. They seem to perform as advertised, and I don't need to wait for a "maybe" firmware update.Hey guys, hey greenmachine17... I think when you're carefully putting in the batteries in you'll be good.
So, I got some news from P4Y today.
After trying to get in touch with P4Y on Skype since the 14th Sep. one guy finally wrote back. (P4Y Sales director apparently, at least that's what his Skype profile says.)
First he asked me if I like trouble what what issues I'm actually talking about.
(well, that's not the best way to start a conversation. He then went on on the TCR problem)
He said that I probably didn't set the right TCR value for my wire since he doesn't know if my wire was pure or not and he didn't see any adjustment on my side in the video.
(well ok, what is not shown in the video is that I tried a range of values from 0.00085 to 0.00120 and the coil was glowing each time.)
Then he said that they (P4Y) set the preset for SS316 already and why would I even need to set my own TCR value then when I was using SS316L. It's working in preset, he said.
(ok, fair enough, I just tested it, alright. And I would expect the mod to behave the same way like preset then, but it doesn't. Anyway.)
We didn't get further than that on this topic.
Then I asked about the "button lock feature".
He said that they added a locking feature now by pressing power button 3 times.
So I asked about a time frame for a firmware update since that is not working either on my device.
And now, here it comes, he said that there's no update. It's a new device.
There you go. That's all I got from them so far. I would like to upload this Skype conversation somewhere but that might cause a privacy problem. I don't know.
All I can say for now is that this IPV 6x was my first and last device from P4Y. But you never know... sometimes, with them, it's like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand does. If you know what I mean. They might release an firmware update after all but they might not.
Anyone with a proper crystal ball here? haha..

Hey guys, I have a little update as well..
Someone over at the VU forum received a replacement 6x from KMG Imports so I asked him to test the TCR to see if it worked...it does not. The only thing they fixed was the RBP and added in a 3 click to lock feature.
I also gave up trying to get answers from P4Y. I did contact the place where I bought it from (3FVape) and they said that they will contact P4Y directly to let them know of the problem. This is the first P4Y product I ever purchased and it will most likely be the last.
I just got some news from Yihi (sxmini) and their engineering department. They said that this TCR issue is a bug and they will work on it and solve it later soon. We should keep our attention to IPV's website if there is an update release sometime soon.
I just hope P4Y is not too stubborn or greedy and will release an update.
(btw. if an update is even possible with this mod.)
Daniel from DJLSB has confirmed what we already know about the TCR not working. He has not done the full review yet, and he says that he has not opened the mod up yet to see if it is firmware upgradeable. Maybe this will help our cause.
It sounds like his full review is coming in the near future.
See him discuss the TCR VERY briefly at 8:00, and he discusses the IPV6X on and off throughout the video:
