Ahhh! Just got email today that my pre-order from MAY is finally shipped and on its way to me.

As long as the TI preset and NiFe48 works in the TCR mode I'll be a happy camper.

Hopefully yours is from a later batch than mine and your reverse battery protection works.

I am also curious if you are able to get the TCR working.

So I was up late last night on Skype with Pioneer4you aaaand...i didn't get anywhere. I spoke to a couple of ppl and one of them was a manager for the actual manufacturing plant that they use to build the mods. She told me that the TCR is not meant for wires that have presets..apparently it wont work for those wires o_O

She also said that the only issue that was fixed on the new batches was the reverse polarity protection. I would personally take this with a grain of salt as the impression I got from the conversation was that she had no clue what the heck she was talking about. When I asked her if they were going to release an update to fix the TCR issue she said "for what? use the preset"

I got a hold of someone else who said he was going to check with a technician and get back to me. When and if he does I'll update you guys.

As for my unit, I let the 3Fvape know about the issue and sent them a video of it. I'm just waiting back to see what they say. The more time I spend with the mod the more I like it though so I think I'm just gonna keep it and hope they fix this issue in the future.

Oh and for some weird reason my reserve polarity protection works even though I bought the mod weeks ago and it should be form the early affected batches.

Thanks!!! Please keep us updated.

I will also be keeping mine, but I will be filing a warranty claim to get the reverse polarity protection fixed.

If they are able to work out the kinks with the TCR, I will likely purchase another.

That's a BS response. If the TCR function is truly a TCR function, it's just math. It should regulate the vape based on the algorithm you set it to.

So I've been exclusively using my IPV6x the past couple days and alternating between a TCR of 0.00092 and 0.00115 and the SS preset. I can now unfortunately say that the TCR function seems to do absolutely nothing... I'm really ...... off after 4 bad dry hits. I loved everything about this mod from the reviews, decide to purchase it after not getting a new mod in more than 6 months, and the chip is s**t. And I happen to be an only TC vaper. I really really hope they come out with some update to fix this soon. My only other hope is that it's my unit and I can get an exchange but from other's testimonies here I fear that's not the case. The best way I've managed to get it to work kind of the way I want it to is to select the SS preset, pulse the fire button to make the resistance go up a little, and then lock the resistance at that incorrect reading. This way I'm fooling the chip and getting a decent vape before it cuts the power. I shouldn't have to do this though and for what looks to be P4Y's new flagship, I'm so disappointed that the Yihi chip they stuck in here is so bad. I really need Djlsbvapes to review this thing so I know if it's just my mod or not.

Sorry to hear that, unfortunately I don't think it's just your unit. Between mine being the same and from the research I've done, it seems to be either a high % of the first batch or maybe even the entire batch all together. We wont know for sure until someone can test the new batches and see if the TCR works.
A lot of ppl don't really test the TCR or even vape with TC so there's no way to know how many units have the same issue.

I have a feeling that it is a software issue and something that can be fixed with a firmware update. Now, all we have to do is hope that P4Y knows about this issue and is willing to actually fix it.

For now I just use the preset and set the temp all the way to max 572 and adjust my wattage to where I like it.

So I ripped out my relatively new SS fused clapton contact build and put in a new SS fused clapton spaced build just to give it another chance. SS TC tends to work better with spaced coils. Set the resistance at room temp with the coils juiced and using the SS preset I only have it at 540 F and it's not doing so bad so far.

I'll try TCR in a bit and report back.
Also, I'm not sure if my unit is part of that first batch or not and I'm not sure if I'm willing to test it out. It's supposed to auto fire at 200 watts if the reverse polarity protection is not there right?

The TCR does not function on both of mine either. I have 2, they both behave the same way. I enter a TCR of .00138 for my 430 stainless coils, a value which functions perfectly in all 5 of my joytech devices, (4 V2 minis and 1 EVIC V2) both of my DNA 200 devices (Psyclone Evo, and Reuleaux) and also my Reuleaux rx20O. On both my IPV6x, there is no temperature regulation at all. I lock the cold resistance, and even with the temperature set at it lowest setting the coil will glow red hot. There is no preset for ss430, using the preset for 316 results in instantly going into temp protection with no vapor production. Yeah the form factor is great, just like my Sigelei 213 which also doesn't work in TCR. Grrr.

That really sucks... it seems that this issue is pretty wide spread. One might even say its a problem on every device.

I might have a chance to have mine replaced by 3Fvape. They just received their "new stock" so I'm kinda tempted to see if it's been fixed but if I go through all that hassle only to find out it's the exact same thing I'm gonna be pretty .......

@jj6404 yes if you don't have a proper working RPP than the device will fire at the full 200 watts. Personally I wouldn't even test it out. The only reason I did is cuz I was ...... at the whole TCR thing and figured what the heck..if it blows, it blows.

P.S. I still haven't heard back form P4Y

My copy is on its way so I'll wait to pass judgement until it arrives and I've had a change to test it out. Sadly the IPV6(x) is what I bought to replace a non-functioning Sigelei213! Rather odd that the IPV6 seems to have many of the same issues.

    I generally use NiFe48/52 with a TCR=405, NiFe70 with a TCR=525. Non-functional TCR is a showstopper for me.

:nah: Well crud. Mine finally showed up today.

I quickly unpacked, loaded two batteries (stolen from a Cuboid) and I grabbed the Crius tank off the Cuboid as well. Dialed in TCR=404 along with a reasonable 30J, locked the resistance (it was close to what I remembered the build to be) and started vaping.

Humm.... THAT seemed to have worked, I grabbed a TI tank and tried the fixed TI setting. Lame. Weak. Ok, I'll try it in TCR mode with 366 - WOHA:danger: what is going on here? I dialed in another NiFe48 tank and gave it a whirl - not good.

Unless P4U releases an update QUICK this thing is being returned.
