As I am a relative new comer to ecigs I find the idea that pay pal won't allow ecig sales hysterically funny. I opened a paypal account recently for the sole purpose of buying ecig items from China. I had no idea of the ban and didn't believe it when I read it in another thread. I googled it. OK, so paypal smoke that.

Paypal excepts vaping purchases from any supplier OTHER than ones headquarted in the US. An anti-vaping group in the US threatened to boycott paypal if they didn't. You will be fine with purchases from China, the UK, etc.

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to put a number on the dollar amount of sales Paypal has lost due to its anti-US-ecig policy? And to compare that to how much the anti-vaping group has added to Paypal's sales figure? Hmmmm....

(Also interesting that the end result of the anti-vapers threatened boycott is to take business away from Americans and give it to vendors overseas.)

Shhhhh. Also interesting that PayPal has no problem processing contributions to CASAA... Maybe they don't know what CASAA is...

Now they can complain about jobs and money being sent overseas and blame it on all those nasty people who keep exposing their lies and deceit about vaping being as bad as smoking.

Was it a particular group that threatened to boycott PayPal or the ANTZ brigade?

I've never bought any e-cig related stuff online without PayPal, in fact if a site here doesn't list PayPal as a payment option then I won't buy. There's a lot of liquids from US vendors that I'd really like to try but I haven't, especially after reading all the stories on here about card fraud.

You won't catch me with an account to PayPal...

You are doing yourself and the vendors a dis-service by NOT buying from them on the fact they don't take PayPal.

PayPal is the PROBLEM, not the Vendors.

You are in fact supporting the Anti-eCig ANTZ by continuing to use PayPal.

That's the way I see it.

Boycott PayPal because they ban people for buying Vaping stuff using their service.

The way I see it, PayPal can go the way of AOL and disappear.

If you are worried about card fraud, go get a Gift card,, every vendor accepts Visa Gift Cards.

I was actually wondering about this a few months ago, I had heard that they couldn't be used, but was unsure on which countries it effected. Didn't know if some countries were doing under the radar.

I don't know but I have heard it was out of a concern about being sued by people if they could show PayPal helped them buy e-cig products and something bad happened or something like that. So maybe it was their legal department that made the decision.

Don't need to get rid of Paypal to fight Antz. I'll spray them in the face with Raid if they mess with me.
Paypal needed for Many online transactions for me for the simple reason I get buyer protection.
As for E-cig purchases and Fraud, That isn't Paypals fault. Matter of FACT you can get a PAYPAL DEBIT MASTERCARD and use it at any US Vender that takes CC - NO Hassle from PAYPAL. You also get instant Email notifications of card use and it is No a fee card.(except ATM's)

People should address issues rather than Blame companies for having regulations. It is their choice and yours.

I don't have a problem with PayPal, they're fully behind all vendors here at the moment. That may change in the future, but until then I'll use their service for e-cig purchases. Twelve years of using PayPal with no card fraud issues plus the added bonus of buyer protection and I'd hate to make one e-cig purchase overseas without and my details be stolen. One quick look through this forum shows issues are rife right now.

I have a prepaid USD currency card which I use when I visit the States but this requires a minimum $150 load. I'll look into other prepaid means though, I'm sure I'll get one when my need to try these flavours reaches fever pitch.

If that was the case,
I'm going to sue PP AND eBay for allowing me to buy a knife which resulted in my finger getting cut. Silly I know, but sad that I'd probably win.

I've retyped this 4 times now. And it's best I just say, as calmly as possible, I do not like paypal. And it's too bad ECF only accepts PP.

My choice is to not support a company that doesn't support my decision to vape. I feel safe enough using a credit card for my purchases since we get email alerts every time the card is used. I have several cards, if one is compromised I have others if I really need to use one while the other is replaced.

I do realize that there are people that don't have multiple cards and don't have that backup. I do. I chose to not use Paypal.

I'm not verified and don't plan on it in the foreseeable future. I know myself and I would end up spending way more than I'm comfortable spending because of the sales. I have everything that I need and am not one to try out the latest and greatest. There's nothing wrong with that, it just isn't the way I'm cut out to be.
