Hi. I've been vaping for nearly a year now. Had loads of mouth and tongue problems initially but for the most part they seem to have resolved themselves.
Now I'm getting irritations to the inside of my lips. Mainly in the middle of my top lip, just inside - not on the outside of my lip. Exactly where the mouth piece of my PV usually sits.
It's almost like a callous - (and geez, I'm not sucking on the darn thing CONSTANTLY!)
Actually it feels like when you have eaten salt and vinegar chips? You know that feeling you get?
I DO move it around.... I don't just vape with the mouth piece in the same spot....the result is just more irritated spots inside my lips.

It's got to be the nicotine don't you think?

Anyone else had this?
It's concerning me. It doesn't feel good to have your body develop an irritation that keeps getting aggravated.

it seems like your having e-juice contact with your mouth.

try to make sure that when you fill your carto/atomizer, you don't leave any juice on the e-cig.
make sure that your tip is clean.
if you are drip tipping-make sure you don't make contact with your juice, or have left over liquid that didn't fully enter the atomizer.

if you try to avoid all mentioned above, I would consider to try a different tip, could be an allergic reaction to the material the tip itself is made of.

You could be having contact irritation to PG in your juice. The vapor deposits some on the mouthpiece, then you rest it against your lip and the skin doesn't respond well.
PG is in so many products we use every day that I suspect any allergy is a cumulative problem.
I would try a different mouthpiece that may have less surface to collect residue and hold it to your lip. (More straight up & down). I would also try backing down some of the PG for VG. You probably don't have to avoid PG all together, just cut your exposure.
One last: increase your water intake. Not soda, not coffee, good ole' water. Vaping will dry you out and physically irrigating the spot may help.

Thanks guys/gals.
I suspect it is the nicotine somehow getting on my lips.
I'm experimenting with vaping 0 nic (OMG!) :) Actually surprisingly I don't feel the need to chew my arms, or anybody elses off....but I'm kind of alternating throughout the day...Zero for a while and then 12 mg for a bit.
What I AM finding is that when I vape 0 nic my lips begin to feel better. (I THINK!)
Tonight I am trying a different mouthpiece too that just happened to come in the mail (we won it or something with our juice order) I'll see if that makes any difference as well.
I'm using plastic, but the same thing happened with the metal mouth pieces too.
I've been a bit naughty with not drinking as much as I should (It's like Winter here....I don't feel thirsty!)
So we'll see what happens.
Hopefully this too shall pass.
