This might have went better in the general discussion area, but this is really the only forum I post in. Does anyone besides me get almost a sinus irritation from this stuff. I can run organic CVS cotton balls and all is good. The KGD seems to kill me. It's definitely a better vape though. I can't figure out a reason why.

I had the same experience first couple of wicks I ran with kgd, was burning on me. Took several tries to get it right, was a bit frustrating. I was so used to the amount to use with the cvs sterile balls. With kgd I was using either too little or too much and burning it, or not getting it into a cylindrical shape before pulling it through the coil. A couple times I noticed I was getting a U shape with that outer compressed layer still intact. I found removing the outer compressed layer helped me. Kinda have to roll it out in your fingers without twisting it. I pull it through and back and forth a few times to make sure it doesnt bunch or pull through the coil too easily. Now I have it working great.

I kinda know what you mean. I can get a sort of "early stages of a cold" sinus thing when my wick is not right - prolly a side effect of inefficient juice vaporization. It's worse with one particular ADV juice I have. Sorting out the wicking clears it up in about half an hour.

I also get it with any cotton wick that's wack, not just KGD.

Since KGD is purely un-treated cotton, and has no processing chemicals in it... I don't understand how it could affect sinus', and CVS Pharmacy cotton (which is definitely processed) does not. But oh well, everyone is different.

Have you tried CelluCotton? I've been experimenting with it; KGD; and RxW 2mm for awhile now. I seem to get flavor from CelluCotton, and less dry hits.

All I use is Rayon or Cellucotton...same thing, whatever you want to call it. It holds juice pretty well, doesn't burn too easy and when changing flavors it doesn't keep the old flavor from a squonk if you decide not to rewick.

I pretty much have a lifetime supply of it on hand (~490ft) if I had to guess what's still there. I'm pretty sure this box will last a couple years. It was $16, picked it up at a local Sally's beauty supply.

I got the 44043 box. Ya know something funny? I've seen many heads of women all dressed up with this stuff ready for a perm, and I never thought I'd be smokin' it one day! :D

... but it sure puts out damn awesome flavor and taste!!! :) You just can't beat the price of it. $14.99 for 900ft?

Edit: Sorry Joe. Didn't mean to take your thread briefly off course. Do hope you solve the sinus problem. KGD is a clean cotton. Theoretically, it's 'supposed' to be cleaner than anything on the market to use as wicking material. Am interested in knowing the cause of your sinus problems, so keep us informed.

I'm still thinking it's not the KGD per se. I think it's a wicking issue - too much, specifically - but nothing to do with organic/bleached/boiled/etc.

As I posted, I've had a similar issue with bad wicks that gunk the coil and wick in odd ways, and I think (but what do I know) that it's poor and/or atypical juice vapor that I'm reacting to.

I also have problems with cotton. I started out with organic cotton balls and they worked great for a few months, but eventually they started to irritate my throat and sinuses. I then switched to kgd and same thing it was great at first but after about a week it would irritate me. Now I run either readyxwick or cellu cotton and I haven't had any issues. Good luck in finding something that works for you.
