Is 38 gauge to small to recoil ?

Thought I ordered 36 but...

For a Vivi Nova. Nichrome 60: 38 gauge is what I got.

I have used 37ga and it get too hot too quick for my liking so 38ga will work, but I imagine it would be worse still. You could always double it up twisted and the double twist again for the legs. Done that with the 37ga and it works very well.

With the twisting and lapping it on itself that wont cause any hotspots?

Is there any wire, coil,ohm calculator thing that i can use to figure how many wraps/laps I need?
