Im ordering some attys from Value Vapor and thought Id try some juice as well since I had such a small order. I saw that they offered all Dekang products so I figured Id get the ever so popular RY4...

...but its sold out...much like every other recommended flavor.

...but they had RY1-3 and said the only difference is the 3 is less sweet than 4 and 2 is less sweet than 3 etc...

So is RY3 worth getting or should I just wait for the heralded RY4? If RY4 is super sweet then RY3 might be just right for me. I just never heard anyone recommend it so I figured Id ask.

...also...any other Dekang products worth trying?

It was a while ago. I remember I didn't care for them one bit. I think the tobacco base was just not good tasting for some reason. Maybe it needs the ry4 blend to make it work. Ry4 is one of the most popular blends so folks are going to have tried it an reviewed it.

If you buy it, be sure to let us know what you think. Maybe you'll jog my memory. Maybe I've blocked it out, though:p.

I like the ry4, 555, double chocolate, capachino, and when I wanted something more like an analog it was the Turkish Blend. I just bought some and it was too much for me. Seems I no longer like stuff that tastes too much like a smoke.

I'll throw my vote in for Top Vapor Hangseng RY4. It is the shiznit! I have been vaping it almost all day, every day for 2 weeks now. I still vape 1ml of TV Honeydew but it's steadily falling. The RY4 tastes a bit like a cup of earl grey tea with honey and a good cigarette. Not too sweet and has a hint of citrus to my tongue.
I get both from mad vapes. I don't know if Top Vapor brand is available elsewhere. Anyone?

Fox,

Top Vapor is a domestic manufacturer of relatively inexpensive USA-made juices. Top Vapor does not make an RY4. Hangsen is a very large Chinese manufacturer of juices, not as big as Dekang, but one of Dekang's primary competitors. Top Vapor has nothing to do with Hangsen.

Madvapes recently added some Hangsen tobacco flavors to its Custom China E-Liquid selection, Hangsen RY4 among them.

Madvapes price is almost perfect for someone poor like me. (getting tired of posting about this, lol) 50ml for $11 is cheap enough where I feel like it is actually worth the $11.00, and just cheap enough where I don't have to cringe ordering it. I think I will try either Liberty-Flights tobaccos, or MadVapes Tobaccos next, for the price. I hope the prices never go up, because I want people in my financial bracket to be able to get off of the cigarettes and onto vaping. Liberty-Flights also carries 150ml of flavorless 24mg juice for $13.00, so if your interested in RY4, you could basically order that, some vanilla, and some caramel, and make your own! :p But the reason I posted here is to let you know that Mom and Pops shop makes they're own Ry1, 2, 3, and 4 and they have a really nice following by a lot of vaporizers. When I was looking on the M&P shop's site, I noticed that the prices are less than other US top brand shops. They are definitely a top brand shop, but they charge a little less. I will be trying they're RY4 in the future.. Once I am able to. :p

Mom&PopVaporShop make and sell three RYs---their custom RY4, a kicked-up version of that juice called RY4v2, and RYO4, which uses their more analog-like RYO tobacco base. In my opinion, all three of M&P's RYs are very tasty juices.

As for the numbered sequencing of RYs (RY1, RY2, RY3, etc.), RY4 was the original and first---the initials RY are an acronym for "Ruyan," which is supposedly the Chinese slang word for "cigarette-like," and 4 because that was the fourth version tried by Ludo (owner of Janty) and the Chinese flavor chemist who created RY4 together in a Chinese juice manufacturing facility one afternoon in 2007.

Later---much later, actually---Hangsen came out with the lower-numbered RYs. People have gotten the idea that the differences between the four (RY1, RY2, RY3, and RY4) are in sweetness (with each higher number being progressively sweeter), but I'm not sure that presumption is accurate. Keemer (another Chinese juice manufacturer) makes both an RY3 and RY4, but I've never seen an RY1 or RY2 from them. At least a couple of U.S. juice vendors sell an RY5 juice (FSUSA) or flavoring concentrate (Totally Wicked).

Dekang now makes a bewildering array of RY-variations specifically for VapourWorldUK: (Ruyan, RY1, RY2, RY3, RY4, RY Hi-5, RY6, RY7, and RY8, plus Intense versions of each).

PinkSpotVapors doesn't sell an RY4, but they do sell a custom-made juice they call RY8, because (according to PinkSpot's rather tongue-in-cheek description) it's "twice as good" as RY4. LOL.

Basically, anything goes in RY4 Land.

I'm seeing RY04, RY4, RY4v2, and "RYO" now, so I guess they have 3 versions of RY4 and then RYO Tobacco which actually means Roll Your Own Tobacco. I got confused I guess. They have really nice descriptions of what each tastes like though. I want to order from them someday because I feel like they tweaked they're recipes to taste, and I bet they taste good.

Yes, it is a little confusing. RYO is not an RY (Ruyan) at all, but is---as you point out---the acronym for the tobacco industry term "Roll Your Own." It's a straight tobacco flavor---no caramel, vanilla, sweetener, nut, or any of the other flavorings sometimes used in RY4s. I love it as one of my all-time favorite natural extract tobacco blends, because it's made with a heavy dose of Tobacco Absolute, which gives it a thick and "ashy" side-taste that's reminiscent of smoking analogs. (Some folks abhor the ashiness of Absolute. I like it.)

The extracts that make RYO are used as the tobacco base of RYO4, which makes it the strongest tobacco RY4 I've ever vaped (and I've had 75 of them).

I really like all three of Mom&Pop's RY4 formulations.

Risky as it is to recommend any juice or vendor---since the bell curve of taste/flavor perception is so wide, you may loathe a juice that I love, and vice versa)---I really hope you get to try some of Mom&Pop's juices. I think they're one of the growing number of artisan juice-makers whose line of juices is a definite cut above the ordinary. I don't love every juice I've bought from them, but even the ones I didn't like had the stamp of creativity and thoughtfulness. If you place an order at some point, consider adding Pchela's Famous Five Layer. It's yummy.
