OK so I'm seeing some back and forth going on here about where that Perfume is coming from. Here is my thought process, but maybe a DIY person could chime in!
I vape Dekang Newport flavor 100% PG. This is one of the only juices that I have never tasted Chemical/Perfume in. This leads me to believe that the PG has absolutely nothing to do with the Perfume taste. I guess the easiest way to test this would be to vape some unflavored PG and see if it taste like Perfume (This is where the DIY guys might be able to help)!
My belief is that the Chemical/Perfume taste is coming from the flavorings that are added to the base. I read a thread in DIY Flavoring last night and the guy stated that the majority of his new recipes taste terrible (like perfume). That it took him many tries to finally create the perfect juice that didn't taste like chemicals. So my assumption based off of that statement is the base is flavorless. It sounds like the chemical taste is from the flavoring. I havent researched it yet, but I'm sure those flavorings contain many ingredients and I'm sure that many of them are alcohol based!
