I love gennies! And it's only a genesis if it's using SS Mesh(I know that's been muddied up over time).
A genesis with a proper SS Mesh wick gives the absolute cleanest flavor possible, and if it dry hits, you taste nothing, instead of the super harshness of a normal atomizers dry hit. If you do get a harsh dry hit from a genny, then the wick isn't seasoned well enough.
Meshed gennies all day every day. Same reasons as Rondasherrill + low maintenance.
Besides, once you got the hang of it, it's as easy as any other wicking material.
I see the learning curve as a time investment. Time spent on learning it will pay in time saved on maintenance many times over. Maybe not if you use extremely gunky liquids and have to dry burn all the time.
My gennies are my goto attys. I'll add to what has already been said: you can get very respectable vapor production and flavor at modest resistances (>1ohm). This adds up to longer battery life.
