Is high end e-juice really worth the cost?

I do find the higher end juices seem to have more depth to them. I am also a DIY'er and when I make a more complex flavored juice it is just as good to me. I do tend to save my higher end juices for special occasions.
I would like to try Killer and I love The vape Shack 808, so far The Vape Shack 808 is my favorite. I've ordered White Label ejuice and can't wait to see how it tastes.

In some cases, YES. in other cases, no. I just spent $22 on a bottle of THE STANDARD Cell Block Four. It's good but nothing special. Same for SUICIDE BUNNY Mothers Milk. On the other hand EARTHS BOUNTY Fraise Brulee is out of this world!

One thing I have noticed about premium juice is it tends to be more consistent from batch to batch than a lot of other juices. I used to be a huge zuess juice fan but it varies so much from order to order that I feel like I'm pulling a slot machine handle every time I order from them.

I've found the best balance for me is to keep a few premiums in my rotation with my DIY juices. I do the simple flavors and leave the complex mixtures to the professionals.

I have been vaping almost a month now and I have found great deals on e-juice (Slim's, killer-juice) I like these juices and am wondering what the difference between them and "premium" juices are? (Is it just price?)

It's quite subjective. In most cases premium liquids are superior to those that are made at a lower cost. It does take some considerable skill and time to develop a quality liquid.

One example would be Nicoticket where they actually steep vanilla beans in large vats as a base for quite a few of their offerings, rather than using some artificial base.

You can liken it to spending 75-$100 on an inexpensive Cognac vs $1000 plus for a premium bottle. It's up to you to decide whether or not you can justify the cost.

You do get what you pay for. Just remember, what one person loves you may not and vice versa.

Out of interest did you read on the Nicoticket site that they "steep vanilla beans" to extract the flavouring

nope....from my experiences the more expensive juices are no different than the cheaper juices....more complex? maybe but you easily buy 3 or 4 cheaper juices and mix them together for the same effect

i've been diy'ing and mixing complex flavors but it's no different than ordering a bunch of flavors from an inexpensive vendor and mix it yourself

Yes, generally speaking, premium priced eliquids are worth the cost.

Go check out GiantVapes, they dont carry ALL of the high end liquids.. there is plenty more out there.. but they do have quite a selection all in one place.

Never heard of giant vapes before. Ive never spent over $6 for 10ml (I mainly buy from MBV). I checked out giantvapes and ordered a bottle of "big willies banana bread". Not expensive at $9.50 for 15ml but I thought I would try it. If I didn't order so much earlier I would have tried some Five pawns "gambit" or some Not too shabby "like a sir".

Thanks for the suggestion.

Got my $9.50 bottle of 15ml Big Willies Banana bread.. Hate it... Taste like pepper and rubber. Maybe ill throw it in the juice drawer and try it again in a few weeks.

MBVs banana nut bread is 100 times better and almost half the price..

Still want to try Five Pawns Gambit and Castle Long but so far I'm not feeling the "premium E liquid is worth the money"

Oh no.
Of course not.
Absolutely no.

It's the other way around.
It's "Can I afford this?"

Once you find yourself asking if it's worth it, that means you can't afford it.

Maybe for Christmas and birthday time

Kinda of off topic, but have you noticed the 2nd hand vape from this smells like fancy campfire wood?

Tastes awesome though.

short answer: no.
long answer: i think it depends on the flavor. with premium juices they seem to be able to pull off the strange mixes of what seem to be random flavorings (see five pawns for example) as where i believe the cheaper guys are able to do the one hit wonders just as good. i used to be THE biggest mt baker vapor basher on the planet, until i tried one of their flavors that blew me out of the water. Now it's all i order, after coming from stuff like high roller sweets and vaping rabbit. i'm filthy rich now (more money for gear) and the juice tastes just as good if not better. I do have one or two bottles of special stuff that i order, but it's because those flavors are harder to replicate it would seem.

that being said, the best advice given imo is to try what you think sounds good, and go with whatever works for your taste buds and your budget.

I figure pretty much anything that keeps you off cigs is worth it in the long run. Most of what i really love isn't that expensive, there are a few I love that are more though and I limit them.

Something about Gambit is great to me, the flavor but also the throat hit is superb. I love a lot of cheaper things too and some that are very cheap. throat hit is a big factor for me-as much as flavor.

DIY is something that all vapers should try i think, i haven't yet but i have a hunch that we could all make make something we'd like.

eh, it's a mixed bag.

I'm a mega juice junkie and while there's a larger percentage of tasty premium juices than budget ones, it isn't always the case. After a year of compulsive juice buying I've found some budget juices that I keep large quantities of and now buy a smaller number of premium juices (and tend to just go for more unique/complex flavors for the premiums). Pretty basic flavors (strawberries and cream, etc) I have found to not be worth buying at the premium price point. Going sub-ohm dual coil, I kinda had explore cheaper options because my little hobby was becoming as expensive as smoking. These juices are just as good as some of my premium juices in my humble opinion, so I'm pleased.

That being said, I had to kiss a lot of frogs.

Honestly,

I was spending 450$ / month on ciggs.
30ml of Five paws cost 27$. 6 Days of vaping. Was spending almost the double on conventional ciggs.

When i was smoking i never bought low end ciggs so why should i make compromises with the quality of my vape? Succeeding in quiting smoking in favor of vaping has much to do with the vaping experience. So personally i want the best :)

I consider myself to be a very fortunate, lucky person. I like/love inexpensive juice! Yes, yes I do. I always order from Mt. Baker Vapor, and I'm always pleased with the taste. Also, it works - no cigarettes since I started vaping last January!

I also like inexpensive, no-name brand shoes, and I have a closet full of cute shoes to wear as a result.:D My husband thinks he is a very lucky man, too.

It depends entirely on what you find that you like. Like others have said, it's subjective. For my part I tend to like things in to middle ground price ranges. You'll find a lot of smaller companies making really quality interesting, juices in the mid-range price point. My experience has been that I find more hits with juices that aren't bottom dollar range, but that doesn't necessarily mean that money spent translates into quality. If you find that you love the juices from the cheapest vendors, then congrats because you just won at vaping! It's all about finding your favs!
