An update on my Carto cleaning:
Yesterday I took one I'd been using for about 5 days, soaked it in 70% Isopropyl Alcohol for about 20 minutes, blew it out, re-soaked it about 5 more, blew it out again real well, and then left it overnight. Just added 20 drops of Maple Backwoods and fired it up! For the moment, it's working like a champ! Gonna kind of experiment around with it, see how many rewashes I can do, and how long it'll end up lasting.
