Actually I have to correct something, I just figured out how much money I would have spent in 6 years of smoking and it's about 10 dollars per day (1.5 packs) X's 2,190 days = 21, 000 dollars ,Wholly smokes! I reckon I have spent about 3k per year in vape gear, so not that far off but I'm still ahead of the game.

When I first started vaping for the first year it was pretty low key, egoT/tanks and CE4s, then, I discovered online forums
...that led me to where you are at now OP, buying the next new shiny, and building quite the collection of mech mods/attys for the next year until I took an almost two year break from the forums in which I did not buy one thing related to vaping other than two flavors of premade eliquid.
After I returned to the forums I fell back under the shiny influence, buying new regulated mods and tanks... the advancements in regulated gear over those two years was...well astounding to me.:)
I do think though being on the forums/groups constantly seeing the latest/greatest can influence purchases, often causing people to buy (a lot) more than they would have otherwise. When I was away not seeing all the new stuff I was satisfied with what I had and the other vapers I know who never visit forums/groups find set ups they like and are satisfied.

Very true there....

Looking back it seems my vape purchases come in sporadic bunches. I will not buy anything outside of occasional DIY juice supplies for some time then something will catch my attention and spur a flurry of purchases.

The latest such flurry was spawned by the Dripbox. I had a couple of bottom feed atties from the Reo clone flurry but wanted something new/better and perhaps white to match the Dripbox. Thus recent purchases of a Derringer, Sapor, M-Atty, Stumpy, Velocity and FDV BF pins to convert those needing it.

Before that I bought an RX200 for the all day battery life and shortly thereafter bought an Aromamizer V1, Crown, Aromamizer Supreme and Griffin 25 to compliment it. BTW the RX Supreme combo is an excellent setup.

Untelling what the new Notch/TSS coils might demand. 30mm atties likely in my future if they don't work well with my current holdings.

For me it's a hobby with a utilitarian aspect.

I am very happy where I am. I spend my time acquiring components that make sure I stay where I am. Every so often I try a new tank but can't stand all the new coils or high wattage. Just something else to spend money on and it gets old. When I started it was fun..now things have progressed way to far. Once we were involved in stopping smoking but it has become silly. 300 watt mods who in the hell needs it. Sometimes people push things too far.

I'll sometimes catch myself wanting another mod/tank before the mod/tank I previously ordered even arrives in the mail

That or you are just window shopping on the classifieds and think "I had that mod, it was a great mod, I wish I had it back....maybe I should get this one!"

After this next purchase I'll be all set and won't buy anything else for awhile. A week later I am saying the same thing. Just this one last thing. I am always discovering that next tank, rda, mod that I can't live without. My main excuse is that after the deeming regs I my not be able to get it or I'll pay three times as much.

Yeah, you'll get to the point of where it's enough. Now I just buy things to back up the things I already have. I don't need anything "new" to create a better vape, I already got the vape that works great for me.
Yep that is where I am at. I have one more order planned, it is for spare parts for what I found that works for me. I will likely order $20-30 more of some flavorings this year as well.

DIY Materials. Lets just say that I have More Bottles of Nicotine Base in the Freezer than I do Fish Sticks.
Haha.I can definitely relate to that one.I went as far as getting a small fridge with full freezer on top to store my nic,it's not a huge freezer, but i can't fit anything else in there,it is fully stocked haha.

I am mainly trying to focus my attention now stocking up on spare parts for tanks/attys/mods I currently have that I like a lot too, and streamlining tanks that only take blisterpack coils down to just one type, the rest being rebuildable. With the uncertain future we are facing as vapers I think this is important to do versus just buying a lot of different gear that might become unusable later otherwise.
