Totally agree. I expected a big difference going from eGo batteries to the super incredibly awesome VAMO! lol, I was quite excited when I got it and my first RBA (in the same order) and quite content with that setup for about 2 months. Then I decided to see just what all the fuss was about sub ohm mech vaping... wow. Not only is the vape so much better the simplicity of it all is really cool, imo. Incredible delicious clouds of vapor and absolutely no circuitry to worry about failing. My VAMO is now my portable multimeter, and I occasionally use it to vape my Vision Eternity 2.1ohm build at 12w.

Went from Vision spinners to a Vamo, which I still am very happy with. Got my first mech and then my second. Vamo doesn't get used hardly at all any more... besides checking battery voltage, coil ohms, and pulsing coils on LR gennies (down to 1.2 ohms).

What am I vaping more often than not? A Smok RDA Octopus dripper with a fat, juicy wick made from 3 x 3mm silica, shorter than the factory "Octopus" wicks, and a 5/4 coil of kanthal 28 gauge for 0.9 ohms. I drilled an extra 1/16th air hole in the top groove of the cap too. I have to cut my juice way down with extra VG too for "SLR" vaping this thing. Cut my 24mg juice to 12mg and 18mg down to 9mg... The clouds are huge and pleasant, and too much nic plants me on my rear giggling like a school girl :D

Have five RBAs now, two are wrapped for SLR (1.1 ohm) and the other three are all between 1.2 and 1.5 ohm, for that rare occasion that might come up where I want to use one on my vamo for awhile. I use all five on my mechs.

Same story here. Got eGo twists, an eVic...but then got a Natural and a octopus.
It rocked my Vaping world !
I love those big clouds and the sweet taste of a warm cotton wick vape !
So easy to rewick and the Natural is such a nice and simple mod....
It is a marriage made in Vape heaven !

I'm mostly a mechanical man and DIY now...
I like my vMods and Natural best !
Easy, simple and satisfying Vaping.

I started with a Roughstack V2 and a couple of 3.7v mods then to the Vmax followed by the vv/vw Vamo, cartomizer, cartomizer tanks and vivi nova tanks. Now I'm into mech mod and rocking a K100 and building rda's for dripping. First time dripper here and love building coils for sub ohm vaping. My phoenix rba is at 1.5ohm and stays with the vamo and the igo-l, phoenix v4, and smok rda octopus are used for sub ohm setups, all using cotton wicks with modified air holes. I do have an aga-t v2 and some ss wicks but haven't touched it yet.

You know its a big difference when you have to drop your nic. I just had to also. Rba may not be for everyone. Some people may not like the huge clouds of vapor but man do I love it.

For example my old flat top zmax is perfect for my gf. She hates my setups now but used to always want to vape my zmax and vamo.

Another thing ive noticed is that I used to only be able to vape menthol. Idk y but I now enjoy both worlds menthol and non.
