Anybody try different atomizer brands? I've used Janty, Titan and Joye 510.

Seems to me that the Janty runs extremely hot; the Joye 510 runs cooler, with the Titan somewhere in between the two.

Has your experience been the same?

I can get only a few puffs off a Janty before it's too hot to touch, but with a Joye I can puff and puff and puff. So, needless to say I like the Joye much better.

I'm new (4 weeks) with a Joye 510 starter kit. Two atomizers. The first one crapped out on me the other day, so I'm using the second one.

Both are the same model, but what a difference in how they work. They tend to run hot, but the first one didn't suck up the juice the way the second one is doing. Both have 2 holes.

Amazing the difference in the draw and vapor between the two, but I'm adding juice to the second one constantly. The first atomizer worked with a single pre-filled cartridge and last me about a day with only about 10 extra drops into the cartridge.

I still need to figure out what went wrong with the first one. Hoping I didn't burn the darn thing up.

I haven't noticed a difference between the different 510 models. I have noticed a difference between atomizers though. I believe that there is a quality control issue with Joye. I have 4 sets of the generic (Joye-510m), 2 sets of the titan, and one Janty Dura=C set.

After 3 months of use I have retired 3 atomizers that no longer work well with a cart. They do heat up just fine but no longer wick the liquid from a cart. Their have been a differences in draw and vapor production between my individual atomizers. I don't think there is a brand advantage.

The four hole run much cooler but the draw is very loose. It also leaks like sieve.

I think anything I've bought after March or so was two hole.

I started vaping in May so that's why I haven't had any four hole attys. I would have liked the loose draw and cooler running, but the leaking would have definitely been a bother.

I did do a modification of the holes in the carts and that has made the draw much easier. Without this mod I would get sore jaws from the draw being so tight.

I have 2 attys from totally wicked, 2 from Janty, and 2 from e-smokey treats(Joye 510).
All seem to work about the same, it all seems to come down to how much I take care of them.
I clean them out every couple of days before I go to bed. And after about a month all are still running strong with great vape/flavor/throat hit/ ect.
All my 510 attys tend to get really hot. Its just a 510 thing really. They were designed to heat up vapor to give a better throat hit and feel more legitimate in comparison to an actual cigarette. Or at least that was the impression I was under.

Overall, my wide band atomizers have performed better. BUT I've had bad wide bands and great thin band versions. Until someone proves otherwise, it appears that all 510 atomizers are built in the same Joye factory. Therefore, they should all be the same. As we've seen, there are quality control issues with every PV setup out there, and in this case I think the QC makes the difference, not the width of the band on the outside of the device.

I've only tried the Joye510's from widow and had one bad one out of the box. It wouldn't drip at all, but would suck juice out of the cart. It was a 2 hole and one of the holes was totally blocked by a piece of white plastic. I sent it back.

It would be nice if Joye could redesign the atomizer to get away from the burning wick material and still produce good vapor. Don't want them to mess with a good thing though, so I'd rather buy more atomizers.

I have a wide band Janty atomizer coming from an innovapor.com kit I just ordered, so I'll compare

I agree -- it IS a quality control issue with the Joye 510 atomizers. A little bit off one way or another inside the component and it's a totally different experience. Both of mine came in a kit from E-smokeyTreats.

The first one was PERFECT and the second one doesn't wick up from the cartridge at all. Cleaned the first one in an ultra-sonic alcohol bath, got it working again, then it quit once more. Disposable is right.

The heating element in the second one seems to sit up a tad higher, but even pushing the filler in the cartridge down farther doesn't make it wick any better. I have to put 3+ drops in the cart EVERY time I want the equivalent of a cigarette.

I need to find a cheap supplier for atomizers if they are going to break like this.

Yeah, my take is that the atomizer is disposable. It might last a week, it might last a month or more. Either way, the moment one starts acting flakey, I just ditch it and start up a new one.

I'm like you Surf Monkey, by the way TW has Titan atomizers 5 for 40.00. Sounds good to me. Still way beats $70.00 per week for analogs.

I just ordered 2 joye 510 kits for me and the wife, I hope Im not disapionted. As a machinist, I wonder how hard it would be to make my own atty's. Just a thought.
You won't be disappointed with the 510

Look in the atomizer mods forum .....some guys have been busting there humps to make one and they have a ton of great ideas.
