i was the same, i think i have enough to last me a year! maybe we are replacing 1 addiction with another, who knows?

At least for me, I am completely trading one addiction for another... and I embrace it. Actually, somewhat of the same addiction (nicotine) but my nicotine habit has never been this fun before :) Things have calmed a bit for me buying-wise since I began vaping a year ago, but I still stalk the forums looking for new things, and I have enough supplies stocked for a year. It still doesn't feel like enough.

Last year I was going to try e-cigarettes and bought a Volcano starter kit and a Joye 510 starter kit after using them for about 2 weeks put them in a closet and started smoking again. Well about 14 days ago decided that I would try again pulled them out of closet and I was pleased but felt that I needed to try something different I have not had a cigarette since and have ordered a blu starter kit and after to speaking to someone on the boards bought a Riva 510 starter kit (Blu cost $82.00 (with extra cartridges and Riva cost only $52.00 with liquid (eliquidnatioin had also sent me free 2 bottles of liquid ) I would have spend about 46.00 for a carton and would have to have bought another carton of cigarettes this Friday another $46.00 So at this time I have only spent over $42.00 more than I would have if I was still smoking and I am sure that my stash will last about a month so that would have been another $50.00 dollars saved and will be ahead. (BTW the Riva was a very good choice love it love it my blu I am putting away for backup) in the long run I think if add up what you would have spent for cigarettes and what you have spent at this time you will find you will have saved money in the long run.

Hey, to all y'all who posted here: I'm feelin' that.
I purchased a NuvoCig from a mall vendor - 3-piece e-cig and a spare e-cig as well. Cost me $75 to get started vaping.
Vaped 4 days, got stressed over something stoopit, and picked up the analogs again.
Fast Forward to February 2011: whilst smoking on my LAST pack of analogs, I got my 2 e-cigs out and began alternating between vaping and analogs. I realized that the leaden crappy feeling I got EVERY time I fired up an analog was NOT there when I vaped.
So. When I smoked the final analog in that pack I began vaping full time, having determined that I was not purchasing any more tobacco products.
Today: I have been quit for 3 Weeks, 1 Day, 22 hours, 4 minutes and 33 seconds (22 days). I have saved $103.13 by not smoking 687 cigarettes. I have saved 2 Days, 9 hours and 15 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 2/14/2011 8:06 AM --- So anyways, I do not miss analogs.
I have spent $465 total on e-cig starter kits, backup Mini-Kits, and e-Juice.
I figure that around May 16th, I'll "break even". But - just like y'all - I love buying more e-cigs and stuff! It's like a kid in a candy store.
And Yibba who said "Haha, same I usually get a "month's supply" every two weeks or so now!" man, I'm feelin' that for sure!
That's me..
NevadaGirl, you sound like you're ready to get serious about vaping. I wish you the very best, coz once you find that right elusive e-cig, you'll never pick up another analog again.
This was not 'all about me' but I just wanted to share my story with y'all. Coz it's good to know there are other fine folks just like me who are real serious about quitting smoking and have found a much healthier way to get our nic fix.

JupiterV - you're exactly right: It's all good.. good for us and the vaping company suppliers. Bad for Big Tobacco and the Governments that tax the youknowwhat out of them. And that is why I 'believe' the EPA is sort of against e-cigs and definitely why there are these FAKE studies that "can't really find much good in vaping" - coz they have a lot to lose in subsidies etc. by endorsing e-cigs and vaping. How conveniently they 'forget' about expensive healthcare costs, lost worktime, etc. by smokers declining health.
I guess my bottom line here is... "Smoking SUCKS, but Vaping ROCKS".

I am in the same Boat! I always seem to buy more than I need afraid I might fall off the wagon if I have equipment failure. I started vaping 2 years ago with overpriced equipment. After 2 weeks I gave up. Now after 2 months and spending about $2500 I have not had 1 cig. The turning point was $10.50 a pack here in NY. 2 packs a day $21.00? What a nightmare! I am already taxed to death & this was driving the nails in the coffin.
The more I buy the better I feel ! It also helps to read the forums. I believe after lurking for so long I finally signed up & made a post. Everyone here seems to be great people.
Thanks All !

I've spent $300 across 4 orders and in only 3 weeks. Every time I get more familiar with the next stage I just want more lol... I'm just placed my 3rd order for more flavors so I've pretty much ordered every item and accessory for my Joye 510 from TheVaporPro.com. Hopefully this phase wears off or I'll wind up spending as much as I did on traditional ciggs.

Let's see, I started with a Blu kit, got a Volcano kit, a Hello 016 kit (not happy), 2 510 kits with pcc's, 15 or 20 clearomizers, about 100 ml of juice, I just noticed my box mod, 70 ml of juice, 2 14500 batteries and a charger are coming in today from Mad Vapes, and I have an order in for enough parts and boxes to make 3 box mods myself (with led's). Not bad for a couple months, eh?

I've said it before, I don't care how much money I spend to NOT SMOKE! Really, what is your health and life work? If the rent is paid and there's food in the cupboard and the utilities are getting just enough to keep your power/gas/water supplied, go for it!

Hey, someone else counting the minutes! At 1:08p.m. today will be 3 weeks for me. Also glad to see I'm not in a minority with the amount of money spent so far!!! Be careful though, I went from 0 to MOD in under 3 weeks! That will really sap the wallet.

Actually, I figured it out last night. I live near a Native American reservation (is that the PC word now? I grew up on an Indian reservation...) and 2 cartons of cigs costs me $137. Last night I spent $170, so that is the equivilant of 2 1/2 weeks worth of cigs for me. If I actually quit smoking analogs (learning the lingo lol), AND those supplies last me at least 3 weeks, I am up. If I only order (or DIY) juices, then I am up money.

And I truly believe I will be better in health.

As a bit of an anarchist, any money I don't pay to the government is a big plus to me!
