Is it OK to order from Kosmicglass / Dan the Glassma​n now (July 2013)

Hi - I want to order this but I was warned that in the past, the vendor/artist who makes them had some issues and earned himself a bad reputation in the vaping community. Seems like that was last year though - maybe he pulled things together since then? He had some major family/life upheaval I guess, and I can't find any info more recent... He does such beautiful work - it would be a terrible shame if you couldn't buy from him...

Can anyone tell me if this guy is doing a respectable business these days? Anyone order from him recently? Thanks!

Like you said he earned the reputation, ordering from a place that once had or still has questionable business practices comes with risks.

You can put a 510 drip tip on any 510 device: carto, atty, vivi nova. The only things I can think of at the moment that takes their own shaped tips are the CE-types of clearo (unless the tip doesn't come off at all, like a Protank). There might be something else that won't work, but I don't remember right now.

I guess I should order a Vivi Nova while I wait for the new Protank to become available... Anyone know the best place to grab a glass (Pyrex) Vivi Nova on the cheap?

Edit - I don't want the kind that is cased in metal... want to see the glass. )

Smoktech makes a vivi nova knockoff with a pyrex tank, they use the IMO undesirable nipple top heads. I don't know if they all are encased with the metal sleeve or if the sleeve is removable.
A few vendors on the forum suppliers list carry them.

Vivi's genuine and knockoff share the same problems as any other top coil clearo.

Right - I truly don't want a top coil. I'll hold off and get the Protank 2.

While you're waiting for the prostank2 I'd try a few BCC's or a carto tank.

This tank is from High Desert. It uses silicone grommets instead of the traditional metal end caps. It takes a standard length cartomizer (The lastt pic shows an XL length carto in it).

Those are pretty cool, baditude... but I'm in love with this look and I'll probably keep searching till I find something that fulfills this aesthetic. Or I may just break down and order it from Kosmic and report back here to let you know if I got ripped off or ended up with the glass set up of my dreams. It's a risk I guess but if I order through PayPal, I have recourse to get my money back.... I think?

OK I looked at all the sites I could find, including those recommended here (thanks guys!) for glass tanks and drip tips, but I couldn't find anything as beautiful as the Kosmic Glass set up pictured above. I'm going to give the artist the benefit of the doubt here - I know what it's like when life totally kicks your .... and you have to rebuild... done that myself.

The guy is obviously very talented - I'll give him his shot to rebuild his reputation. Ordered the tank and tip set - it was only $35 which is ridiculously well priced. I will report back here as to the result and if I get the items - the quality. Hopefully this works out and my experience will serve to hallmark his current reliability.

I would use one of those cards that aren't tied to your bank account and not a credit card....one of those cash only cards. Don't know the exact name but I'm sure you get the gist.
