Is it okay to add a wrap to a premade coil?

I purchased some wrapped coils that just came out a tad too low for my preference. The coils had quite a lot of extra wire on the legs so I simply stuck the coils on a coiling post and added an extra wrap to each coil, which got them up over 0.1 ohms where I feel comfortable vaping. I'll admit the extra wrap isn't too pretty and it isn't exactly perfectly connected / there is a minor gap between my extra wrap and the rest of the pre done wraps (nor does the extra wrap light up when dry firing but neither does the wrap on the far opposite end as they are something like 9 wraps) but it seems to be vaping fine. Is this okay or am I barking up the safety hazard tree.

You're fine. No worries doing that. As long as the coil lights up nice from the center out without a hot leg or arcing it's fine. It doesn't matter what it looks like, no one will see if it looks a little weird once the tank is reassembled.
