I don't charge any of my batteries overnight. I use an EPower which uses non-proprietary batteries.
While most chargers do have overcharge protection which will make sure the batteries don't overcharge, there is always the slight chance that it could fail. If it fails that's when you risk ruining the battery or having it explode.
It is unlikely, but it is possible. That's why I don't leave mine charging overnight or for long periods of time. Better safe than sorry

Odds are nothing bad will happen, but at the same time there is a chance. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

Look at it like being bitten by a shark while swimming at the beach. A million might might not get bit but the poor guy that does is in for a heap of pain & suffering.

Best to keep an eye on the batteries but a once in a while, "opps, I forgot" shouldn't be a problem.

Hi Lizblue, i have had the ego batts for 6 months and charged many a times overnight no problem as a note we do have a smoke alarm right outside that particular washroom door.
I do practice to be home though and not charge when im away.

I did same thing Jerry did in post # 9 , got that dreaded flashing light on my ego when out and after that it taught me a lesson to carry a fully charged extra batt .
You know i since moved on to a mod but still vape that trusty ego and take with me in car as well.
