Is it really that harsh?

Well, I've made my first order last week and can't wait to try my first e-cig. I've really appreciated the video reviews posted...

However, I noticed that there was a lot of coughing going on in these video reviews. So obviously coughing from vaping isn't a temporary and seems to be pretty harsh on ones throat. I wonder how bad long-term vaping is on the throat?

I apologize if this has already been mentioned somewhere else in the forum.

With myself,I cough at first. Maybe for 1 week. Coughing some. Now only cough if I draw too long. My hubby who smokes alot of analogs coughed the first time vap. He cough hard, because he was drawing it like a analog. Maybe the coughing on the video's is because they are trying to hard. Do not want to do a video and no vapor comes out. I think they are drawing to hard and long. Just my opinion.

There are many variables to take into account. The juice being used can cause coughing. There are many flavors of juice from mild to very strong. The amount of vapor can cause coughing. If the atomizer is new and it has primer liquid in the atomizer it can cause coughing. A fresh battery can generate a lot of vapor depending on the model of e-cig. My Janty kissbox will produce a ton of vapor. If you take a throat hit and get too much vapor it can cause coughing. To answer your question with one reason for coughing is hard and near impossible. I use CaSH Menthol with 36mg strength. I find it rather smooth and very strong. PureSmoker's CaSH juice is high quality and comes in many flavors. It will take you some time to figure out what you really like. PureSmoker has a sample pack you can order. I hope this helps.

I find myself over toking when I'm showing someone how well they work. I think the guys in the vids do the same. I may be wrong about them.

I don't know about the other reviewers, but when I do my videos I generally take 2 or more primer puffs followed by a long draw until the battery cuts off. I find that this gives the best demonstration as to what users can expect from the device in terms of the maximum amount vapor it yields, and the most accurate viewing of the overall highest performance to be expected from the battery as well (switch cutoff, etc). This is not how I generally smoke when I'm not doing a review or demonstration.
