Is it "required* that I use an RBA on a mechanical mod?

I use rba's on mechs, protanks on mechs, carto tanks on mechs...even expensive mechs, I get lazy and throw a protank on a near $200 mech if thats what I'm feeling at the moment...I also use all of the above on a provari. I don't vape things to please anybody but me so if a protank on a nemesis is what I want at the moment, that's what I'll be doing.

I actually got a k101 today...not a bad device for the 25 bucks I paid...any mech will be fine as long as you don't put 3ohm cartos on it since you are vaping battery voltage...unless low power is your thing...then rock on.

Easy Tex...LOL...i just started getting into sub low ohms and i can verify they are amazing,i was vaping on my Vamo with 1.2 ohms and thats all good, but i find the taste and vapour way better on a mech with ohms below 1.0.

Well good for you. I am thrilled you are enjoying your vaping experience. But you arent the one making snarky comments on OPs vidya, are you? THAT dude can kiss my striped ....

I'm sitting here vaping using my new ELA mechancal mod from Super T that arrived in the mail today dripping with an old fashioned 510 atty :D I don't happen to be a carto fan, but IF I was then that's what I'd be using at the moment. :) Just because I could choose to use one of my RA's on my mechanical mod doesn't mean I have to.

Ignore anyone that tries to tell you there is only ONE perfect way to vape for everyone because they've got A LOT to learn about vaping! :vapor:

I didnt read all the posts here. Just the first one that is the OP question..

First of all, the comment on your video is from an ignorant kid for sure. Ther is not such vape mandatory rule, you just vape what you like, i have mechs, vv/vw, cig like, all kind of stuff, and i vape what i liked.. RBA only need a mech mod if you are building sub ohm coils because variable mods wont fire them if you build a coil of 1.5ohm and above you are fine on a variable. If you like cartos and carto tanks then you are fine on wathever battery / mod you liked. If you liked and feel good by pluging your vivi nova to the car battery with jumpers then your fine because is what you liked.

Just vape what you liked, and dont vape ignorant comments

you should see my blu battery with a protank lol, and my mech with an evod.

I don't mean to be a hater, OP, but why is it that so many people try to become youtube reviewers? Boggles me. Just don't be a pouty know-it-all like jwest i guess.

In any case the k10x mechs ship with that special drip shield and a cartos so i don't know why they're hating. I'm a fan of mechanicals because i am one of thise doomsday prepper people myself. The whole point, as far as i am concerned, is that i can put WHATEVER THE HELL I WANT ON IT. Sure i like RBAs, mostly phoenix styles, but i'll throw a carto tank on it or even my vivi nova if there is still juice in it when i get home from school. So screw the critics, they are vaping haterade. And the OMG ULTRA SUB OHM crowd seem to me to largely be composed of those ridiculous people who feel the need to be competitive about every single thing ever.

I dont think its so much that people are "trying" to be reviewers specifically, but maybe that we just like talking about something we love. The big communities of pipe tobacco, Swedish Snus, chewing tobacco, nasal snuff, and alternate tobacco (dokha, shisha, Thuoc Lao, etc) all have huge numbers of reviewers, and each reviewer attracts a different audience. It just so happens that people like Phil Busardo have made it big on their reviews and become mainstream for vapers to follow, whereas many others just want to talk about their vapes or help others get into vaping. My intended audience is the ladies, considering there are so many guys out there doing vape reviews or pipe tobacco reviews, snus reviews or snuff reviews. :)

I'm at that point where I want to just throw whatever I want onto my mechs, within reason of course....and not jump on the RBA fanboy bandwagon just yet. In time, yes, but I'm in no rush. :)

Youtube = YOU get to post YOUR stuff because YOU want to (within the rules). So what if everyone on the planet posts? The more the merrier. Like there's "criteria" or a dress code or something? Nah.

Oh man. Wait! I've got it! YOUTUBE POSTER CERTIFICATION CLASSES!!!!! Why the heck didn't I think of this before!?!?!? I've lost YEARS of revenue. Here's how it works...you pay $500.00 per class, pass the final "exam" by posting a "Hello, world!" video, and you get certification paperwork. Just like all the other tech companies do it.....

Maybe I can talk Google into it.......

There's a lot of banter going on in this thread.:unsure:

I think the concensus of responses is to use whatever juice delivery device that YOU prefer and get a great vape from. Everyone ends up with one or several devices that they enjoy using, and will recommend that you should try this or that for a better vaping experience. Unless you're in the mood for experimentation, ignore them. Stick with what works for you.

My first mods were mechanical. They gave me what at that time was a great vape. Then I was able to experience what variable voltage could offer, and I got my first Provari. I still used the mechanical mods, but with my new evolving vaping experience I preferred using variable voltage more.

I initially tried dripping atomizers; I didn't care for them then because I likely never learned the proper technique. I found cartotanks more to my liking and vaping expectations, and used those for several months almost exclusively and was perfectly happy with them. I decided to give an RBA tank a try a couple of months ago, and although there was a definite learning curve involved, they are now my preferred at-home juice delivery device. However, I still find my RBAs to be inconsistant and fussy at times, but that's ok because I still have my trusty cartotanks to fall back on. I still use the cartotanks for out-and-about, because the RBAs are not really travel-friendly.

I had planned on wiping the dust off of my mechanical Silver Bullet and using my RBAs on it. After all, everything I had read here was the vape was better with an RBA on a mechanical. Well guess what? I prefer the RBAs on the Provari's. I still want the option to adjust the voltage for the juice and my mood at the time, and I can't do that with the RBA on a mechanical mod, now can I?

Some of my buddies here on ECF have been singing the praises of bottom feeding box mods. I had never tried one before, so my curiousity got the best of me. I got an inexpensive VMod and am learning the delicate techique of "sqonking" the bottom feeder. It's an enjoyable vape and a nice on-the-go PV.

Mechanicals, variable voltage APVs, bottom feeding APV's all have their place, as do all of the various juice delivery devices. If you feel like exploring the possibilities from time to time as I do, take the plunge. But don't ever feel "pressured" to do so, do it when YOU are ready for change.
