I travel often for work, few things to remember:

1) what ever liquid is carried on needs to fit the guidelines listed here. 3-1-1 for Carry-ons | Transportation Security Administration. You will be limited to 3-30ml bottles of juice.
2) make sure batteries are in a case
3) if flying with a tank, try to have as little liquid in the tank when boarding and place it in the liquid ziplock bag. The cabin pressure can cause leaking and that will help keep everything as clean as possible.
4) Depending on the agent's they will either ask you about how it works, say nothing or in worse case pull your bag and you to the side. If they pull you to the side, be patient and answer them directly. They will also probably cotton swab the device and liquid bottles which will be okay and you will be on your way.

I usually put all the devices in one zip lock bag, usually 5-6 travel with me. Juice and tanks all in one zip lock bag remember 30ml's total. charges with my laptop and phone cable's.

good reply. tanks in particular are an issue under pressure. I have had some leak and not work properly.
filler type attys like spheroid, heron and prometey are not affected and are my choice for long flights.

Thanks for the info!!! That really helps a lot!!!

Has anyone tried taking their tanks off to see if they still leak with the pressure changes. I'll be flying to Japan in 2 months and was wondering if I'd be able to vapes on the way over

I wouldnt recommend vaping mid flight. Sure you can stealth vape but all it takes is one idiot to say look omg hes smoking or look omg he has a detonator.

As long as you dont exhale vapor youre fine. Bring high pg. Hold it in lol. Vapor definitely sets off smoke detectors. Most new smoke detectors (simce the 90s) use photoelectric systems which emit a light on one and have a receiver on the other. All its looking for is a reflection of that light upto the 3.5% range so anything thats not carbon black can set them off. I service commercial fire systems for a living and being a vaper gives me a bonus to testing them with my vape lol

I wonder about stealth vaping in the toilet. I think the smoke detector would go off if you exhale cloud, but what about stealth vape? I don't think it would.

I have a friend who is an air marshal, I would have to insist,Don't tempt fate., it is just not worth it.
