Is it the vendor or the equipment?

I purchased a Vision Spinner 1300mah Starter Kit from eCig Charleston about a month ago. It came with 2 batteries, charger, 5 blank cartos and a case for around $65.00 plus $1.99 shipping. So far, I'm happy. I already have a 510 charger, so when my kit comes I charge both batteries at the same time. One works great, the other won't turn off. If a tank is screwed on to it, it vapes. I contact eCig Charleston and they have me mail the battery back to them so they can check it out. I do that, they check it out and mail me a new one. I charge THAT one, and even though the light shows green on the charger, it won't go on. So then I realize that both of the bad batteries were charged with the charger that was sent to me with my kit. So I once again contact the company and tell them I think it's the charger that's the problem. They ask me to ship them the charger and ruined battery back to them for testing. I do that. They send me ANOTHER battery and a new charger. I once again charge the new battery. After hours of charging, the light is still red. I take the battery off the charger, and it's super hot and remains hot to the touch for hours. I finally put it outside on the cement because I didn't trust it in the house while I'm sleeping! I have another bad battery and/or charger, for the third time, and I'm tired of paying for all this shipping.

So, now what? Has anyone had problems like this with eCig Charleston, or is this a Spinner issue?? My charger has "My eGo START" printed on it".

I think the vendor has done everything you have asked as far as warrantying the items. If you buy Chinese disposables, there are going to be duds, it just kind of goes with QC of the mass produced, inexpensive products. I feel sorry for both you and the vendor having such bad luck finding the bad ones!

Vision Spinners are Chinese disposables? I guess I'm still a rookie here... I thought I was getting something of quality if it was labeled as a Vision.

I had a spinner and really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I broke it at work and since then only bring a heavy duty mod. People call them "disposable" because the battery can not be replaced once the cell begins to die so you must dispose of them.

Tons of people own and enjoy their spinners with no issues so I'm sorry to hear about your stretch of bad luck. Perhaps the vendor received a bad batch of batteries? I would definitely express your concerns and complaints with the vendor and let them know you are beginning to become respectably frustrated.

Sounds like your vender got product from a bad production run. It does happen. Joye just placed a massive recall on eVics in a specific run, several thousand effected.
That said, it is possible you could swap once more and be fine or this could go on until he has fresh stock. Definitely not the venders fault, but his responsibility to make it right.

Couold you post a pic of the charger? I suspect that's where the problem is.

Thanks terirose. Actually it looks ok, but... The wall adapter needs to have an output of at least 0.5A or 500mA.
Most people use an ego charger that is either 420mA. However I think you'd do better with 450mA or 500mA

Take a look on your wall adapter where it says the output, and also look for the mA on your charger.

ETA: if they sent you this: http://www.ecigcharleston.com/MYSTA...-Charger-p/mystart-ego..usb-wall-charger-.htm

It should be ok. As long as the wall adapter is 500mA.

I suspected the charger because there are some cheap ones out there. I'm still wondering if the charger is overcharging your batteries.

I'd send it back one more time to give them a chance to make it right. Ask if they could test the setup by charging it with the new charger they will be sending. They seem to want to resolve the issue too. If you ask, they might send a prepaid shipping label with the tested setup. You could ship the bad one back afterwards for free.
