Look at this little indentation. I noticed it earlier. This battery primarily resides in my k100. I was kind of surprised, but it is a kamry kit battery so I'm satisfied it lasted as long as it did  I added a fuse for safety.

While I've got an ear, I don't sub ohm. I'll go to maybe 1.2 at my lowest. I'm looking for some quality batteries, the efest I have are grief machines. They rattle in my tree of life, and just don't last long. The only thing that seems to keep them in check is the VTR.

Can anybody recommended some quality IMR batteries? I'm thinking 30a, as I may venture into the sub ohm realm soon.

Thanks guys.

Generally considered the best/safest 350 on the market

AW IMR 18350 700mAh LiMN Rechargeable Lithium Battery

As for sub ohm, I dont think theres a 350 that will handle lower than 0.9 safely(and I think thats pushing it).

Sony VTC3 & 4 as well as AW IMRs are safe to very low ohms in 18650.

Your problem is not the Brand of Battery AW is Kick ...., but eFest and Sony have made major strides and are competitive. Anyone that says different is speaking to Personal Preference, probably from early experiences.

Your problem is Battery size. 18350 IMR type batteries only have a 700-800mah rating due to size restrictions. Best on an 18500 is only 1100mah.
the 1200mah 18350's are Li-ion they are okay in a regulated mod and outlast the IMR's by a an hour or so. Unfortunately they are NOT safe for Mechanical use and the will also discharge much faster than an IMR - like 1/3 less vape time.
I know the times from personal experience...............before I knew the risk, and no longer use them.

If you want to go sub ohm or near and get out of the house - Go 18650 hi-amp or carry lots off purple Efest 18350's:D

Efest allegedly makes a 10.5 Amp IMR 18350, but I have reservations recommending it. Efest has a history of exaggerating their battery specs.

Their purple 18650 2500mAh 35A battery is said to be a re-wrapped LG 18650HE2 battery which is a 20 amp battery according to LG. Efest's purple 18650 2100mAh 30 amp battery is said to be a re-wrapped Sony US18650VTC4 2100mAh 30A. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/batteries-chargers/543925-lg-18650he2-2500mah-imr-icr-30a-20a.html#post13166415

EfestSony.jpg same battery, different wrap

If I were you, I'd just go with the 30 amp 18650 Sony batteries and know exactly what you are getting. Forget the idea of doing sub ohms with an 18350 battery, they weren't made for this.

Battery Basics for Mods

If your mod accepts an 18490 battery, the AW 18490 IMR 1100 mah battery is 16.5 amps (15C rating).

I seem to have misspoke. Thanks everybody for the recommendations, but I intend on using 18650s, not 350s. I own one and was curious if it's a hazard due to the picture posted. I was also wondering if I do not subohming and stick to my standards, 1.2-2.2 usually, can I still get a 30a battery? I just want something safe and long lasting. My efest are okay but they don't last long.

Chipotle.
Sony VTC5 is 2600mah and 30A rated, the prior generation battery the VTC4 is also 30A and 2100mah. Pretty much the best you can get for 18650 batteries at the current time. There are hundreds of members here using both the VTC4 or VTC5, I own both of them and have no problems recommending them for sub ohm usage, matter of fact as I write this post I am using a VTC5 with a .18 ohm build very happily.

Be sure to buy batteries from a reputable seller, there are a lot of counterfeit batteries out there.
