Well, right now, I am running three panasonic 10a batteries, and one efest 1600 30a batteries. For the most part, these have been doing well for me... the 30a for my sub ohming, and the 10a for my .8a and above coils (my main vapes). However, I think it's time to start looking for some new batteries.

So far, It's come down to the efest purples, and the sony vtc5's. What I am looking for is a fairly high MaH battery that supports at least 30a. I mainly vape around .8 ohm single coil for my ADV, or 1.8 ohm for my kicked nemesis/vamo. Occasionally, I find the need to vape from my .4 ohm dual coil Aqua. looking for a long lasting battery for my ADV higher ohms, but don't have to worry about which battery is ok when I decide to go down to my sub ohm build.

Has anyone tried these two? anyone know if one edges slightly ahead of the other? I've been reading the charts for both, but I'm looking for real world experience. Must be 18650, since that's what all my mods are based on.

your suggestions/comments?

The purple Efest 2100mah 30 amp battery is just a re-wrapped Sony US18650VTC4 2100mah 30 amp. Exact same battery cell, different wrapper.

I am very sure this is infact simply a rebranded Sony US18650VTC4 cell.

The purple Efest 2500mah "35" amp battery is allegedly a re-wrapped LG 18650HE2 20 amp battery.

Efest 30 & 35 amp batteries

I'd go with a genuine Sony US18650VTC4 2600mah 30 amp battery if I were you.

+1 on the Sony.

The VTC5 blew me away, in a non firey good way :)

I was using Samsung 10a batteries before purchasing some Sony VTC5's. The difference, to me at least, is night and day. I don't push low ohms (certainly not below 0.8) and the Sony's seem to last a while longer.

Not tried the efest purplies but judging by Baditude's post I'd give them a miss, they may be ok of course, but if there is a slight hint of rewrapping and overstating limits it's an immediate no-no for me at least.

Make sure you purchase from a trusted/reputable seller too. I'm worried about the sheer numbers of fake rewrapped batteries that I'm hearing about recently.

My Sony VTC5s are not preforming the way I expected them to. I am not finding them any better than the VTC4s. The Efest 35 amp has been very impressive. I don't need a spare battery at work with the Efest 35 amp, but I do with the VTC5s.

Yes, I'm getting mixed reviews on the Efest 35amps. many people love them, but others say to watch out. After doing some research, I've found that even if they were rewrapped LG's, the 35 amp sustained rate is supposed to be only for 75 seconds.. that's one long vape. And even still, to get to the 20 amp limit, you'd have to go lower than .21 ohms, and I usually don't go lower than .4 ohms. Real world experience was what I was originally looking for.

The only thing that makes me leary of buying from Efest, is they're selling a battery using semi-false advertising. If I support that company, they'll be no better off than the "fire" brand batteries by listing high specs that aren't really relevant to their actual limits.

Baditude, Fat Daddys has the Pair of MNKE 30A/60A IMR 18650 Batteries for $17. Would you go with those or the VTC4 or VTC5?

My different sources are saying that MNKE 18650 battery is a 20 amp continuous discharge rate.

MNKE IMR18650 3.7v Li-MN Rechargable Battery - Avid Vaper

Battery mAh & C Rating = amp Calculator

IMHO, the Sony batteries are the top-rated batteries for sub-ohm vaping at the moment.
