Looser airflow means less pressure which COULD mean dry hits.
However I have no issues running 100vg in a kayfun.

Sounds like a build/wicking problem to me.

More than likely you need to adjust the position of your wick and/or use a different amount of it.

Also plausible your juice channels are not milled correctly.

Remember the most common issue with Kayfuns is too much cotton. There have been times I thought ok this isnt nearly enough...but Ill try it. BAM! Perfect vape.

I went through this for the first 3 days after getting my kayfun.Another member here kept giving me advice and tips, and i finally got it.Like you,i was putting what i thought was too small, then i would get a burnt hit after just a few minutes.Pull the cotton, put in more, still thinking it was not enough,so i would try more, thinking maybe it wasn't touching the coil, worse burnt taste. That's when the other member stepped in and guided me through the whole setup, and finally with what i thought was way too small and would never work, turned out to be perfect, great taste,no gurgles,no leaks, just perfect haha.
