Is my coil/head damaged or dead?

I've a smok "Pyrex" tank/clearo (with the metal sheathing on the outside). I tested the included head with my multimeter and the Vamo before use. It read 1.8 ohm, which was what it was supposed to be. It is now reading 1.4 ohm and dropping (0.9). Have I blown out the head? I turned up the wattage to like 9.5 watts. Only had it for a few days. Fortunately I have spares.

Thanks for any help.

I'm not familiar with your clearo, but electrical 101 tells me that perhaps a coil or two are touching... in effect shortening the path and reducing resistance. If you "blow" a coil, you'd have an open, or infinite resistance. Take it apart and look. :D

Addendum: So, it's a carto tank? Then, never mind. :p

Thanks for the replies and assistance.

The one I have is this one (forgot to mention it's called a Vivi Nova):

SmokTech Pyrex 3.5ml ViVi Nova Tank

Upon removing the coil and wick from the head I found it to be gunked up. Not sure if the coil was burnt. Since I had a spare I just screwed in a new head.
