Is my first e-cig purchase a bust? Or is there any hope for me?

Hi, I'm Catherine and I've been vaping for 3 months. I was able to put down the cigs the day I got my joyetech eGo c and I haven't looked back.

Now, within the last few weeks, it's leaking all of the time! I changed the atomizer, changed the cartridge, bought some of the rubber caps, everything. I don't even want to guess how much $ I've wasted on leaked juice :(

I'm afraid this hiccup will make me go back to smoking and I DO NOT want to. My boys ages 6, 6 and 7 are so proud that "Mommy doesn't smoke bad cigarettes anymore."

Is this a lost cause? Do i need a new set-up? Can I change something to help with the leaking? My purchase came with 2 of these so when one leaks and floods I do have another one to use until I can clean it up. And then THAT one leaks, so on and so on.

Any help is appreciated more than I can express.

The eGo tank system is well known for leaking, so you're not alone with this problem. I've never used that system, so I don't know if there is a fix for the problem. I think the best fix is to get rid of the tanks and order some regular cartos, or clearomizers or, even better, a couple of Vivi Nova tanks like these:

Vision Nova Tank Clearomizer V3 Slim

I've got several of them and they have never leaked a single drop.

Agree 100%. Get a Vivi.

I see what you got, cartridges aren't made to last. You either throw them out and buy new ones, or restuff them. I still keep a few around. I agree with the vivi nova, although I prefer the mini since it's more stream-lined with my eGo battery. This is the best price I found for one: Vision MINI Vivi Nova Clearomizer Tank System

ETA: I'm not sure about the restuffing part on those carts you have. Toss em ;)

ETAA: The cone-shaped part is just a cover. It's for looks and perhaps to keep it cooler depending on how you hold it. I have 2 of them in a drawer.

So these tanks will work on my existing battery? I didn't know you could mix different brands together.

Hi Catherine, Keep your batteries, and chargers, but buy vivi's as above, 510 excalibur clearos, or Kanger clearomizers. I never could get on with the eGo C accessories myself, as I always apply too much force I guess and it would leak all over the place all of the time. Still, it semms like you got a good run with the original setup.

One more thing, if you do get a nova, you'll want to get a "sleeve" or skirt. It covers the stem of where the tank meets the battery. It's also mainly for looks, but it also protect the stem from accidentally snapping off. I got a black one from gotvapes - but this will give you an idea: EGO Stainless Steel Sleeve Cone You might be able to find a pink one somewhere.

Good to know it's not just me. I thought I was doing something wrong. How long do clearomizers last? I want to make sure I order enough to not run out.

Oh, also, cinnamon juice is my favorite. Am I going to have to find another one? I read somewhere that strong juices like that can damage the plastic.

Just a little side note since you seem a little but unfamiliar with all names and that got my grandma to flipout and stay with her beloved 901 with the disposable cartomizers.
The system you are using is an ego, and the thread on both the battery and atomizer is an 510 threading with a cone around it so it will look better with the larger atomizers and battery.

And since you are using a standard 510 threading, all cartomizers and atomizers / tanks for the 510 will work perfectly.
But it will look better if you use something with the ego threading so it will look better, like the viva some recommended for you, because it doesn't leak anything and will make your ego look kinda bad ... ;)

Cinnamon is my favorite too, but kills clearomizers, like the Stardust. My vivi mini nova tank part is fine, but the external threads on the top are melting (and I was very careful to wipe them off). I still have Stardusts & mini novas for other juices, but I just ordered a glass tank last night for my cinnamon.

ETA: Other juices are a problem with tanks too. There's a list somewhere on the forum. I think, but could be wrong, that the regular sized vivi novas have metal threads, so the melting might not be an issue.

Use the aluminum replacement tubes for the Vivi Nova for juices that aren't plastic-friendly such as cinnamon. I've seen them in a few places for the large Vivi Novas but Got Vapes is the only place I've seen them in the U.S. for the Mini Vivi Nova.
