Is my first e-cig purchase a bust? Or is there any hope for me?

Just a little side note since you seem a little but unfamiliar with all names and that got my grandma to flipout and stay with her beloved 901 with the disposable cartomizers.
The system you are using is an ego, and the thread on both the battery and atomizer is an 510 threading with a cone around it so it will look better with the larger atomizers and battery.

And since you are using a standard 510 threading, all cartomizers and atomizers / tanks for the 510 will work perfectly.
But it will look better if you use something with the ego threading so it will look better, like the viva some recommended for you, because it doesn't leak anything and will make your ego look kinda bad ... ;)
that explanation you gave made complete sense to me. Now I understand how/why you can mix different brands, parts etc.

Although I don't know how bad ... I can look with a pearl pink battery, hahahahahaha! I'm normally not drawn to girly colors but in the past few years I've been assaulted by so much testosterone, I'm rebeling!

Alas, in my family of 5, I'm the only female :) Even the cat and the bearded dragon are males. Hrmp!

Use the aluminum replacement tubes for the Vivi Nova for juices that aren't plastic-friendly such as cinnamon. I've seen them in a few places for the large Vivi Novas but Got Vapes is the only place I've seen them in the U.S. for the Mini Vivi Nova.
Mini ViVi Nova Metal Tubes

I've been watching other threads by people who are using those. It appears there is a leaking problem with some of them. Also, I personally, don't like that you can't see how much juice is inside.

If any anodized aluminum tubes leak the seller should be notified ASAP for a resolution to the problem.

Vaping something that is chemically reacting to plastic doesn't sound safe to me. I like the clear alternative but I can tell when my Vivi Nova tank is empty from the slightly dry vapes. Also, the alternative of using glass tanks is expensive.

How long do clearomizers last? I want to make sure I order enough to not run out.

Oh, also, cinnamon juice is my favorite. Am I going to have to find another one? I read somewhere that strong juices like that can damage the plastic.

You can eventually get a tank made of polyethelene or glass if you want to vape cinnamon, citrus, and other acidy juice.

As for clearos I get about 3-4 weeks on mine, but of course, I wash them etc. Plus I have the rebuildables, so you can use same tank and center post and drip tip, just change out the wick/atty assembly at top (a package of 5 is about $10). Ditto, the Vivi Nova, atty/wick assembly is replaceable.

I used the same vendor as you did for my first rig, and I highly recommend. They were geographically close to me, and shipped a few hours after my order!

I am new to vaping also but I was lucky because I met someone who had lots and lots of knowledge if I were you I would order the vivi nova tank system it comes with the tank coil and 2 replacement coils witch all are different aohmes 1.8/2.4/2.8 what you want to do with the battery you have is get all 1.8 aohmes this is a little extra but it s totally worth it. This tank is very very easy to fill and clean and wil last you a long time I love love mine it is awesome I think that clouds of vapor has them on sale now hope this helps you

Well shoot! I should have read up on it before I ordered. I don't even know what oHm I've been getting with my existing set up. It looks like the lower the oHm, the better the vapor and throat hit.

No worries, I can always order different next time if it isn't what I want. Hell, I'll just be glad for no more leaking!!

Coolness! Yes 2.4 is the standard for the mini. I think my 3 set is 1.8 (or 1.7), 2.4 and 2.8

Okay, I see now. I just went back to the place where I ordered from and all of the vivi nova are 2.4 oHm, but the replacement coil 3 packs have different oHm.

Which replacement do you think I should order? They have 1.8, 2.4 and 2.8. It looks like you have one of each. Do you have a preference?

Hi Cat, On the question of which one, I would advise either the 1.8Ω or 2.4Ω for a standard ego battery. This will be a teetering point for you because you will immediately have better vapor production than you had with the c-type atty/tank combo, you will also have better flavor and throat hit as well. The question will be how much you personally like either one of the three available. I would think that the higher 2.8Ω would be a little wimpy on an ego so I think that could be avoided straight away. You already have a 2.4Ω on its way so the nexxt thing would be 1.8Ω. Everybody has their own personal likes/dislikes. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.

Thanks. The atty/tank is all I've ever had so I've got nothing to compare it to. I have read here that cartomizers/clearomizers are better producers of both vapor and TH so I should be just fine.

I can't wait to never leak again! My Joye eGo-C batteries are 1000 mAh so I think I'll be good to go.

By the way Cat, I would look into the metal tube option for your chosen Vivi. I have a version 2 and broke the clear tube by dropping it. The metal tube was on the same order with my fisrt vivi so i wasn't in a panic, I was just gald that I saw the option before I knew I needed it. And I vape cinnamon/menthol in the metal tube and have yet to have any issues with the seals or any kind of leaking and its got to be over three or maybe four months now all parts are same aside from the coil head. Good Luck. Happy Vaping.
