I have been using my e cig now for one week. I was smoking a pack a day of the Marlboro menthol silvers. I thought I would go with the strong dose cartomizers first (24mg) The TH is great but it seams like my heart is racing a bit after vaping. I have smoked for 27 years and have not touched an analog for 6 days now. My question is do you think going to 18mg will still have the same TH as the 24mg? I just want to feel like I did after having an analog, not anxious or jumpy. (kinda like having too much caffeine) I also don't want to feel the overwhelming need to light up again either.

You can get plenty of TH from most 18's. It's as dependent on the juice maker, what they use, and the specific flavor, as it is on the nic level.

If your heart is racing, absolutely, back off. Nicotine is a stimulant, like you know, and a lot of it is not good. If you have a bunch of 24mg, and you like it, you can also usually find 0mg ejuice ,from most juice vendors, and blend them together to reduce the level without having to toss out what you already own.

That's exactly what it sounds like. Nicotine is very similar to caffeine in many ways...

Throat hit is a function of many variables. Higher voltage (or lower resistance cartos/attys) can help to compensate for this, as well as a slightly higher vg concentration (as opposed to pg). It's difficult to say what your best bet might be without knowing what kind of equipment you're using...

As far as the urge to light up... Vaping will help, but it won't make it go away. I attribute this to the tons of other chemicals in cigarettes (other than nicotine) that you're probably addicted to. This too shall pass, but it just takes time... Much has been written on it here, so a quick search should tell you what you need to know, but probably don't want to hear... Patience, my good man (or lady)!

I stopped having the cravings after a couple of weeks, but at 2 months, I still find that certain things make me think briefly about lighting up... But it's no longer a craving... just a thought, followed by "I don't do that anymore"...

Best of luck, and welcome aboard!

16-18mg and 10-12mg both give decent TH

Even 6-8mg give some TH.

I even set up one battery with a cartomizer of very low (a mix of 0mg and 4mg) nic juice - just a bit of TH, and try to vape more on that one when I am vaping a lot

It's real easy to overdo vaping.

BTW - nicotine levels are per mg so you can mix juices and the nic will average out. Like if you mix equal parts of 8mg juice and 24mg juice, 8+24 = 32 / 2 = 16mg juice results.
