Is my RIVA charger (420ma) okay to use on a 650mah eGo Twist?

Hello all,

I was wondering if the eGo Twist was okay to use on my Riva battery charger. The charger output says Output: DC 4.2V = 420ma & looks like all the other eGo chargers I've seen. I know the threads will fit, but I just want to make sure that my battery won't blow up if I use this charger.

Yup, you can indeed use the ego charger with a riva and vice versa. A riva is essentially an ego without a 3.3v restriction. Ego chargers are also rated at 4.2v 420mah output.

I just wanted to make sure, with all these stories about eGo's blowing up after charging with the wrong charger, etc.


Can't wait till my eGo Twist comes in! My Riva is 650mah and so accordingly I ordered the 650mah twist so I could use the same charger (and for size purposes).


Another question though, let's say I decide to also purchase a 1000mah eGo twist in the future, will the charger work with that as well? Or will I have to purchase a different one.

The same charger will work. There is only one standard charger for egos and rivas no matter what size the battery is
