Vamo is supposed to be VV & VW. Is that at the same time? I Am able to adjust the volts then switch to watts and adjust the watts,
but when I go back to volts it has defaulted back to 3 volts. I adjust it back up then go to check watts and it has defaulted back to 3 watts. User error or faulty Vamo? I may have one with a bad spring. I haven't noticed extreme heat, but sometimes it fails to fire. I have over 5 posts but for some reason I am restricted to posting in the new user section. I would have posted this in the apv vamo thread otherwise.

You can adjust volt or watts but to my knowledge no reason to change both.... they both affect one another. I think the defaulting back to 3 volts was documented as normal behavior. The Vamo will remember watt setting if battery is removed, but not volts... something like that. I just use watts and dont worry about volts.. Failing to fire may indicate an issue or if you have volts set too high for resistance it may be a safety feature like on Provari.

When you change from volts to watts or watts to volts the VAMO resets to its lowest settings so that behavior is correct. However, it sounds like you have a chrome VAMO with a wimpy spring that is prone to allow 18650 batteries to disconnect. Periodic failure to fire is a symptom of that issue. Contact your vendor and ask for a replacement spring and/or pick up this hot spring which has worked reliably. The links are for the identical spring from different vendors.

If you got up to your 5 posts within the last hour it is possible the server has not reset. It resets once an hour at about 25 minutes after the hour.

Thanks for the info. Much relieved in Central Texas.

It's a safety device for the user. If you are in watts mode at 9w, and power up with a 1.5ohm atty, the Vamo will fire the proper voltage to meet 9 watts of power for the LR atty. No harm to the atty. If, on the other hand, you're in volts mode at 5.2v and power on with a 1.5ohm atty, you're going to fry your atomizer. Volts mode isn't self-adjusting which is why it defaults to the lowest setting; so you don't inadvertently burn your delivery device.
