Is Nichrome better for my needs? (Fast vapor , sub-ohming, micro/nano-coils , duals , big airflow)

Howdy errbody, I haven't even so much as glanced at the real specs of Nichrome wire, but just from hear-say I've gotten the jist of it.
-It heats up faster.
-Has way less to no resistance.
-Is softer and melts easier. (Don't care)
-More malleable (easier to wrap with).

These sound like great qualities pertaining to my vaping style. I basically like the quick 1 second pulls, like big vapor production (slightly more important than flavor), 99.999% of the time aren't satisfied unless it's a sub-ohm setup with 3mm(1/8th")+ airflow, and don't hold much importance on battery life. My usual setup is an "instant big vapor" type of setup, I use organic 100%VG and like I said use dual 1/8th" (each) airholes (single 1/8th if single coil) so I'm not worried in the slightest about the lower temperature rating, especially since I'm someone who takes it easy on kanthal anyway, I don't abuse the coils while forming them and especially HATE anything close to a dry-hit.

Something I do care about is my health though, I thought I heard something about Nichrome leeching something potentially harmful if heated too hot, but again I won't be abusing the coils anyway.

Just wanted to hear from some of you Nichrome veterans, what your experience is with it, and what some of the pro's/cons are? I did a search on ECF and surprisingly didn't find many (useful) threads on the topic, so I figured we'd do the internet a favor, and get a discussion on what real builders think of the stuff.

~So do you think it's for me? A "quick hitting, cloud chasing, big airhole-ing, sub-ohmer" such as little'ol me? Much confused, so curious, many gratitudes, wow.

From the sound of your post yes try it out you may like it very much brotha!

Thanks man, I've looked into it and it seems pretty spiffy. I already have 100 feet on the way! :2cool:

~Until then I'll keep vaping my best friend, a dual 24ga super-nano setup, with my own "noose wicking" :p (It's just a hitch knot made of cotton, so it keeps the vapor tight.) She flamethrow's the vapor at .2!

By the way what have you been up to dupex? I remember when I first started building, you were pretty much one of my role models hehe. You do some crazy builds cuz! It may be a little off-topic, but I recently found the builders dream for RDA's and vapor quality (for me anyway). It's the dominator RDA, and it's got 2 4mm airholes so you can throw in the hottest coils, as well as a decent sized deck to cram in the big ones too. It's also got "push and shoot" style posts, which make coil installs a freakin breeze. I was changing coils like a pit-stop when I first got it, probably went through 25ft the first week .

I just thought I'd mention it, since your squeeze and go coils sprung to mind. I actually wanted one screw down anchor point, so I could tweak my coils to perfection, and have a little grip to "torque" them straight. So I grabbed my favorite dual positive post from a brass monkee, and it's seriously the easiest, fastest, most capable deck ever now. Check it out:

I figure you'd appreciate it, random thought I know, but that thought popped in my head bro. Build on!

I ordered some and tried it compared to my Kanthal. I dig it. You can get short lengths for trial super cheap from several vendors, I think I snagged my 3 ft length at Kidney Puncher. Just get a smidgen and give it a whirl :)

Right on, I actually ordered 100ft as a "sample" lol, I'll find a use for it no matter what. But I'm pretty positive I'll like it :D. It sounds awesome, I think I like the malleability part best, I'm gonna be building coil sculptures with this stuff! Let alone perfect coils :p, is there any taste, battery change you noticed? Like I said I don't let my coils get that hot, I don't come close to dry hits. I'm more of a "submerge the sub-ohm coils" kinda guy if that makes sense lol.

Thanks for the input guys, I know google will tell me the same thing, but it's nice to hear a real vapers opinion.

While I'm not a veteran user. I like Nichrome better, haven't had any for a while but I'm missing it. It does have a different flavor profile. A sharper flavor maybe. I really like that it doesn't get the same type of build up and rusty look over time. It's like its chromed instead of bare metal. There is a dedicated thread here.. Did you find it?
