Is one component of e-liquid more greasy than the other?

After even only a short time of vaporing, especially with the more powerful devices, my face feels like I've been bobbing for apples in a vat of baby oil. Also, my keyboard, eyeglasses, windows (or whatever) develop a greasy film in no time at all. This film draws dust like a magnet and generally is super messy and a big job to clean because it is everywhere.

So, vaporing outside would solve all this. But I'm wondering if either going 100% propylene glycol or 100% glycerin for e-liquid would cut down on this grease/film? Does one or the other of these components produce less grease/film? I've mostly used blends of various brands and they all seem to produce about the same about of grease/film. I was just about to try ordering a 100% propylene glycol e-liquid, but that is just a guess - so I thought I'd ask here first. I think that I know about the other properties of propylene glycol vs. glycerin that have been discussed in the forums here, so I'm just wondering about the grease factor of each.

I have never experienced this problem but I use a mix thats 80%pg and 20% vg. some companies like vape wild allow you to choose the ratio you want and mixing your own e-juice is not that difficult.I prefer DIY because it is so much cheaper and allows me to adjust flavors to my liking and produce blends that are not readily available commercially

Pg and Vg have different specific characteristics.

Pg (propylene glycol) is known as the better "flavor carrier". It contributes to the "throat hit" along with the nicotine. It does not make much vapor alone (without vg). Some rare individuals are hypersensitive or actually allergic to Pg.

Vg (vegetable glycerin) is known for making the majority of vapor. It does carry flavors (it may need to steep some), but not as well as Pg. It has virtually no contribution to throat hit. Some vapers complain of chest heaviness with high Vg ratios.

To the touch, vg appears more "greasy" than pg. I've not noticed the greasy grime deposits that you speak of.

Neither PG nor VG should leave any film. I do not know what is in the film (I do not think anybody really knows) but I suspect either some components of flavors or overheating by coil (or both) that make juice to partially polymerize. I tend to think it is flavors (once I have found a film on inside of one of my tanks, it was tough and a lot of scrubbing was needed to remove it).

I vape anything from 90%VG to 60% VG and do not have film on any surfaces but windshield (and I vape a lot in front of comuter).

The film is definitely real. Have you ever gone into a B&M that is also a vape bar (i.e. constantly cloud filled room) that has their bottles of juice out in the open sitting on a shelf? As soon as you handle the glass bottles, you can feel the film on it. This weekend I was in a B&M vape store in the city and made the comment about the film and the sales clerk agreed and pointed to the TV mounted on the wall and commented how they constantly have to wipe down the screen because of the haze that forms on it. Looking up at the screen, you could easily make out the film.
