Not at all. No. Do not use.

Just plain 100% Glycerin. :)
Ok. so i will probably buy from site you gave. today i ask in pharmacy and boots but they don't even know what VG and PG(i show them full name)
I can't decivde what flavor i want so could i just mix VG na PG and vipe without flavor? Is that make sense?

Hi:)
Some basic info that might help, is that I frequently vape my 100%VG nicotine base without adding flavors and it's quite good. DIY and adding a few drops of other flavors for variety is too.

Some vendors that I use all the time right off the top of my head for all the supplies you might need and who most likely ship internationally are highdesertvapes.com, vapingzone.com, myfreedomsmokes.com and ecigexpress.com

Good luck :)

Great info here guys. Thanks to everyone who contributed.

Despite the relatively cheaper cost of the ingredients I am wondering how much potential there is to save given the amount of trial and error that would be involved. Question(s): Those of you who make your own, did it take you while to nail something that you liked? Is there a resource for any good starting points that can be tweaked to your liking? Can you make stuff that holds up to some of the better ones you have bought?

A lot of ebay resellers mislable their products as USP grade when their not. USP is a rating that is only given when the product is packaged in a FDA regulated facility to USP standards. Many of the vendors buy bulk 5 gal pails or wutnot and repackage the contents into smaller bottles. The fact is once they break the seal on the USP pail, the contents are no longer USP certified and to sell it as such is questionable. As far as your "diabetes syringes" go, they will be useless as VG is extremely thick. I draw it with a 60ml irrigation syringe and its still like sucking ice cream through a straw. If you search through the DIY thread, you can find all the information and about 10000000x's more that you could ever need for killer diy.

My biggest mistake in the beginning was reading forum threads where people were saying they use 10, 15 up to 20% flavorings, so I started with those ranges. OMG those were awful to me and later found out I only need from 1% up to 5% max of flavorings in my nic base.
I did and still do make e-liquids months in advance of when I'll want to vape them because I learned that, (probably since I use 100% VG bases), most flavors need a month or 2 of steep time before the flavors marry and develop to their full potential, to the point that they are great vapes for me. Start by making a single flavor to see what they taste like in a vape before going on to complex flavors where you add more than 2 to a bottle. I need to know what an individual flavor is like before I'll know which ones I want to add to each other (hope that makes sense!)

I don't use hot water baths to accelerate steep time because I'm afraid that heat effects nicotine and flavors (in a bad way). Many people do it that way and it must work ok for them though. Everyone's experiments and tastes are different though :)

Good luck:)

I have just started making my own liquid and I bought the nicotine with PG and The VG an PG from Liberty Flights. So far I have only experimented with fruit flavors and I use the EJuice calculator. I will post up when I make up some recipes I really like, but I have found the flavoring to work best at a lower % than a lot of the DIY recipes call for. I can make double the amount of liquid for what I was paying from some quality vendors at $15 to $20 a bottle. Maybe not much of a savings if you buy some cheaper e-liquids, but the satisfaction of developing your own recipes is nice.

Tremendous potential to save money. Local shops sell 10mL of e-liquid for $7.99. That's $.80 per mL. My mixes generally cost about $.07 per mL.

If I dumped half of my mixes as un-vapable, my cost skyrockets to $.14 per mL. I'd have to mess up an awful lot to approach $.80 per mL.

I've nailed quite a few mixes that my friends and I LOVE, some within the first week of DIY. These are all-day-vapes for me and my crew, and we prefer them to store-bought e-liquids. That's what you want from DIY. It's incredibly satisfying when months pass, and you've been vaping nothing but your own mixes. "Hey man, can I get some more of your Strawberry Shortcake? Here's a few bucks." - yeah, that's nice too.

There's a little cost upfront for equipment when beginning DIY. I would encourage you not to skimp here. If you have nice, accurate measuring equipment (or the financial means to upgrade from a bare-bones setup, once you try it out and like it), your mixes will be scalable and reproducable.

It's easy to spend a lot of money on flavorings too. Concentrate on a few flavors that you'll like when getting started. Let your flavor library grow slowly and organically.

Starting point is gonna depend upon what you like. Put 4 drops of LorAnn Peach into 5mL of base (whatever PG/VG and nic strength you prefer), shake well, and try it out the next morning. If your dropper is smaller than mine (not implying anything here!), you might need more. It's just a starting point.

Ditto. With some flavors, 1 drop in 5mL of base is PLENTY for me. That would be less than 1%.

When you do decide what you're gonna order and you get your syringes in make sure to give the markings 3-4 coats of clear nail polish. This will keep them from smearing off and you'll be able to rinse and reuse.

Ouch, ouch. No, no -- don't do this. I did this with plastic syringes and rather quickly it started flaking into my juice. Perhaps it was the polish I used, but...

Much, much better to use the transparent scotch tape; seems to last the life of a disposable syringe. YMMV.

(Sorry DetraMental, not trying to be disagreeable or ornery. I think this has risks better avoided by noob DIYers.)

So true! Since a lot of concentrated flavors come in a handy dropper top bottle, I find that I just need to put a drop or two in a 5ml bottle of my nic base. Can't even measure them in my 1ml syringes, so not even sure of the percentages, but, I just takes notes that I only needed a drop or 2 and it works for me:)

A couple more quick thoughts for new DIYers.

1. Do not buy the high concentration nic; you save little with the extra vp/gp required. Much safer and easier i.e. better to buy your nic at the strength you're vaping and then mix with flavors/concentrates,

2. you can not over mix; do not under mix,

3) steeping (allowing mixes to sit days or even a month) can make a huge difference in taste and

4. check out the DIY section under eLiquids on this forum for tons of info, recipes, etc.

Enjoy!

^^Amen to that LoveVanilla!

I've bought 18mg but when I realized I may want stronger, now I buy the 48 or 60 mg/ml nic bases (and a about a gallon of VG to mix in lol) The 48 or 60 mg's are great to dilute down to the different nic strengths that I need. 100mg/ml nic is just way too strong smelling for me and don't even want to deal with it anymore! Some people buy the highest strength's to save money but it really is only a small fraction of savings in the end.

Mixing and steeping. Patience. Time. Planning ahead. Mix and steep some more lol.

so im just throwing this out there. i have no idea how to DIY style so forgive me if this sounds so stupid but..

i understand the whole pg vg ratio and what not. so do you have to have put vg and pg and mix those together with the flavoring? or how would you make a batch of liquid 50/50 ratio with 18 mg of nicotine. very curious to this. if anyone could PM me the recipe or directions i would be so stoked. i want to make a huge batch of a few of my ADV.. tired of ordering liquid when i could just make it myself and always have on tap at my request. mwuahaha:banana:

My suggestion is go to http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/74109-guide-diy-flavoring.html it has alot of great information on making your own juices. I would't make a "huge batch" first. My suggestion would be do smaller batches at first maybe 3ml, that way if your juice does not turn out you won't waste a lot of your PG, VG and nicotine. And do not give up, sometimes it takes a few batches to get it right. :)
