Is selling e-pipes now illegal

I've been studying this topic every since I first posted and here is what I have learned.

There is mass confusion over what e-cigarettes and e-pipes are, especially e-pipes, in the commercial world. There are "electric pipes" that are sold to burn or vaporize illegal drugs. I won't list the sites here, but they are out there. These pipes were around long before the modern e-pipes as we know them. The DEA lists "electronic pipes" as illegal paraphernalia." The isssue is, of course, they have not updated their banned list to separate the pipes designed for illegal activity from modern e-pipes made from legal e-cig parts. I think we can all see the potential problem here, although my attorney says not to worry since modern e-pipes are not sold with the sole purpose of illegal activity.

The real problem is one of ignorance. I've spoken to eBay, Esty and even Google advertising about selling e-pipes. They still think an "e-pipe" is a device to vaporize or burn [moderated] or whatever. Stupid. They also think e-cigarettes and pipes are "banned." I tried to explain that an e-cig or e-pipe is just a device and unlike a regular "cigarette" it has no tobacco or nicotine in it! The customer can add that or not! This would be like banning knives, syringes, ammonia, spear guns and chainsaws because YOU think they will be used illegally!

I'm going to sell my pipes, even if I have to become the Heisenberg of e-piping!

Back to the lab.

I have a used e-pipe I was planning on selling on eBay. Well, I received a call after listing it, just before they pulled the auction. Now I know you can't sell them on eBay. Does not surprise me given how picky they are, although they allow all types of fake crap from China to be listed every day.

Regardless, the eBay representative who called says e-pipes are illegal to sell on the Internet because several states, including Massachusetts, now classify e-pipes as "drug paraphernalia." Not sure how the hell eBay classifies old tobacco pipes although they allow them to be sold.. and you can stuff them with anything you want...lol

I also noticed an overall lack of custom e-pipe sellers on the Internet.

So the question is: are e-pipes illegal to sell on the Internet?

Thanks:

Chance

I'm not an expert but I think that would be a state by state legislation ? All in all it's hardly enforceable -- imo.

Its probably because there are idiots out there vaping [moderated] with their devices. So I can understand the confusion. However, there have been countless people who have cut their addiction to cigs with ecigs. Also, who's regulating the juice makers? Who's to say what people are actually vaping.

I think the point is (eBay doesn't want you selling PV's on their site) yet the majority of replies are aiming to educate how one might get around this fact.

If you want more strict regulation thumb your nose at folks basic rules (vaping where no smoking is allowed), you'll just piss people off.
