I really, really liked using my pen grips too, but now I use a delrin drip tip.
I would rather use a pen grip, because it is so comfortable, but juice eventually gets between the pen grip and outside of the atomizer. And then it gets a little slick and starts moving around.
I wish they would make a drip tip from the same stuff the pen grips are made of.
LOL. I just wipe it down when that happens. I also thread the napkin through the pen grip and it's as good as new, at least until it gets wets and slippery again.
I tried dripping using an empty cart and the atomizer gets too hot after about 2 minutes, so I have to wait a minute for it to cool down before using it again. I'm on board with the idea of rubber drip tips(There already are rubber whistle tips now), but I think there's something about that rubber "hugging" the atomizer that keeps it from overheating too fast.
However, there's definitely a deterioration of the rubber after some time, maybe about a week, so I'm not sure about the reliability of rubber drip tips. What I do now is just get a new pen and switch the grips. The pen now has a slightly loose grip but it is a small price to pay for my "new" drip tip. lol.
Have a great day!
