Hi guys, not sure if this is the correct sub-forum for this but here goes.

I've recently ordered some flavorings from TFA for use in DIY. The scent from these bottles are very similar to food flavorings used in baking etc. So I'm thinking, if it can be vaped, it sure as hell can be eaten. Is that true? Sorry if I come across as noob but I really am.

I'm thinking of adding a couple drops of strawberry (TFA) to my water to add some kick to it. Is it safe? Or do I need some form of treatment say heat?

That's what TFA flavors were developed for - they are "FDA approved" food flavorings!
So you're fine using them that way!

Thanks for the input! So they're good to go in my drink!

But another query is. I've bought the RY4 tobacco double flavor. Is that safe to add to food/beverage as well? Albeit the weird taste

TFA is primarily a food flavoring but after they noticed a large chunk of their sales go to vaping. So they designed flavors geared towards the vaping community. All their flavors are safe for consumption as they are food grade. But some like the one you mentioned are better off being vaped.

@Archer74 - I know it is confusing but that video is all about FlavourArt and that is not The Flavor Apprentice. ;) And FlavourArt is making their new North American branch all about vaping - they still do some food only flavorings. :p And yes @awabi you can use flavorings that we use in vape in all kinds of foods and drinks so enjoy.

I regularly add Capella Sweet Cream to food and drinks that benefit from a cream flavor; since we use 2% milk, cream flavor is hard to come by, for eggs, mashed potatoes, or even in coffee -- a drop or two of the Capella Sweet Cream is perfect! :thumb: I even keep them separate -- I have one bottle I took the dropper tip out of to make it easier for mixing in ejuice (to stick a syringe into the bottle), and another bottle that still has its droppertip, to make it easy to add to food/drink.

I tried putting some black cherry in my 8 oz glass of water. I kept adding and adding and adding until the bottle was gone. I never really tasted it.

Must have been a very weak flavoring. Those type of flavorings do really bad as far as vaping. You likely got no flavor from it when mixed as a vape either.

Actually was a really tart black cherry when vaped. It wasn't TFA but FA which is supposed to be concentrated. Also could be I have no buds left but those Mio's make my water come to life.

I can't imagine a double tobacco coke tasting good, but let us know.
This got me thinking if the opposite is true. I work in factory food and we have 1gallon artificial/natural flavors in PG. I wonder if they're vapable?
Maybe I'll nip 5ml and play guinea pig...

Send me some lol

I have been experimenting with many flavor bases. I tried one butterscotch flavor before which primarily used in candy mixes. It was awesome! The only con is that its slightly a little harsh. So if ur vaping at 6mg u can feel the difference. Maybe 3-4mg is a smooth cloud vape.
