Outlawed, doubt it. Controlled by the government, anything mainstream is, as both the Feds/State gov'ts see it as a source of revenue.
If Big tobacco has their way, it may be temporarily banned, until they figure out a way to profit from it. Similar to oil companies that tried to block the development of hybrid engines for consumer vehicles for years!

Don't understand your comment about people being depressed.

Right now all they could tax would be the atty and the nicotine. It's only a matter of time till our modders come up with a good atty design. Everything else you can make in 30 minutes at the kitchen table. Nicotine would be difficult to tax because it is used not only by us, but also by big pharma and the insecticide folks as well. Also it would have to be taxed by the mg to accomplish anything. If they tax juice by the ml then I just order stronger juice.

They are most definitely not going away in my opinion.

But they may be heavily taxed.
And they may become far more expensive.
And the juice may come in tamper-proof disposible cartridges.
And they may limit the nicotine strength concentrations to useless levels.

Other than that, things should be guaranteed to always be peachy!!

And they will likely limit it to those tobacco flavors and I can't stand those.
