As seeing I'm still new but totally in love with everything e-cigs have to offer, I don't want them ripped away from me. Never ever. I plan on them burying me with my fave e-cig in my pocket. I generally and honestly am scared that I am going to emerge my self into this and then be forced to quit it, black market it, or even do it illegally. Cause I so totally would e-cig illegally. >_> and no on behalf of my self, I haven't done anything drug related illegal in 7+ years.. and no.. I have a clean record for everything else. Scouts promise lol. But the bans when they start can spread like wild fire and I've been signing petitions and doing surveys to help and trying to spread the good word and I will fight tooth in nail for what I enjoy. I'm just scared it's going to be outlawed by the end of next year. God I hate our government.. remind me to get rich, purchase an island and hide there for all eternity.

I don't vape very often anymore but my PV is my lifeline when I'm under stress or around other smokers. I'd be one very nervous and high-strung person if I couldn't puff away on my 0 nic when I needed to.

It's not just a smoking deterrent for me...it also stops me from taking a drink or needing a Xanax.

I know they won't outlaw PG/VG/Flavorings, but how many companies would be selling batteries and supplies if they weren't going to make money from the masses? I'm not really a mod vaping kind of girl.

Also, I've gotten my best friend, my brother and now my aunt to vape. They would go right back to smoking, possible shortening our time together in life.

So, I share your fears.

nope people they WILL NOT and CAN NOT be ripped away from you. the worst they can do is stop the legal sale of them. and if that comes to be i'll be glad to start doing what i can to supply vapers. i almost hope it happens then i'll have finally been able to find work (saving lives through the black market is good enough work for me )

but there is no possible way that any ban would stick - just keep increasing our numbers and realize that u'r nobody's slave and u'll do what u think is best. the rest sorts itself.

I, for one, Don't believe an outright ban of ecigs is even possible. There have been big money interests trying for a couple years now and the most I've seen happen yet is the sale to minors of commercial ecigs banned, which is a good thing in my book. The only other thing is that Smoking Everywhere was banned from doing business in Oregon for making unsubstantiated health claims. Other ecig venders in Oregon were unaffected by this ruling and continue to do business there.
The anti's have no sound legal argument. That's why they keep using the "antifreeze lie". That's all they got. If that's all they can come up with I'm not losing any sleep.
Besides, when has prohibition ever stopped anything, ever, in the course of history? Never works.

I think about the only thing that could be legitimately banned is nicotine base juice.

Batteries, attys, carts, VG, flavorings etc... could always be bought separately so as you were not buying a smoking product together.

I figure if they ever ban Nicotine base juice then it's just time to quit everything as I will never go back to analogs. With that said I bet you will always be able to buy nicotine base juice even if in the semi black-market (overseas at small amounts).

They can try...

The average vaper is much different than a typical person. They are taking away something that we NEED and will fight to the death to keep. It won't be as easy as they think, and with enough people applying enough pressure they will be forced to lift the bans. The worst thing we can do is go quietly, so if the time comes get ready to make some noise.

If they ban it here I'm going to call the news station and have them do a story on it. I will have a bunch of fellow vapers light their first analog cigarette in months on camera, and say "Thanks FDA, you just killed us all".

My hubby and I were just talking about this. He's the technical man... I'm the cook... so we were thinking that between the two of us we could keep at least us and our friends vaping even if there is a ban.
Fact is I don't think they CAN. but of course don't think they can do a lot of things they do either... so one can never tell. Parts and the stuff to make juice is used for too many other things as far as I can tell... don't think they can ban those things too.

Unless of course the push for a ban on dihydrogen monoxide takes hold... then you never know (I hope everyone can hear the sarcasm in this statement but if you can't... it's there LOL)
