So, I used to buy disposable shisha pens off ebay, and I'm addicted to them. I don't need nicotine or anything, but I love the flavors and the action and the vapor swirling around me. :vapor:Also, it helps a lot with my oral fixation and ADD. :p

I bought the EVOD 2 starter kit for 30 bucks off eBay as per a friend's recommendation, and I've been reading up on this website about vaping and such, but pretty much I wanna know if this is a good starter kit, how to take care of it, etc. etc. It still hasn't arrived yet so I haven't had the chance to play with it.

Thanks! :)

It's not a bad starter kit, but they are what they are in that it's just a starter kit. If it's a regular evod 2 and not and evod glass then the little windows in it are plastic so you want to watch it with citrus, cola's, mints, etc as they can start to break down the plastic windows. It's a dual coil and you should be able to find replacement coils at any local shop or online. So is it a good starter kit? yes it's not bad, but for $30 there are some better options out there.

If you're used to shisha pens, then, yes, this should be pretty similar (and less disposable ;) ) Hopefully the kit comes with two batteries (one to vape while the other is charging...)

You'll be able to find lots of places to get 0 nic juices - I make my own juices these days, and all at 0 nic. I have unflavored for when I want/need it. Don't put it in if I don't :)

I've found it to be great !! 2 e things with 5 spare coils, great !!
When unscrewing to refill, be careful not to squeeze near the windows as it will probably leak forever more.
I'm really new but a couple of months in and it's all i've used.
Dale11 ... could have suggested "some better options" for $30
But as i've only used the evod's i can't really give you any other suggestions. :)

Thanks for the tip! One of the main reasons I got that one was that it was the least expensive one I could find and it came with two devices, so I can charge one while using the other. What are some other devices I can look at in that price range?

Yep, it comes with two! I bought a sample pack off zeusejuice.com, and I've been looking at some DIY threads too. It doesn't look too difficult, and I'm probably going to try that out in the future, since I'm a broke college student and I'll probably chain vape and go through juice like crazy while studying, thanks to my ADD.

Thanks for the input! I saw a couple complaints about them leaking so I'll keep your advice in mind. It's good to hear you've had a positive experience with it. :)

Sorry, didn't suggest any others because he said he already had it in the mail. If someone was asking me with a $30 budget I'd recommend a mini protank 3 or the aspire k1. The mini PT 3 will be similar to the evod 2 but it's all glass so it allows to use some of the tank cracking juices. Then you can go with an evod vv battery. Online you can get both for less than $30. Don't know if the started kit the OP mentioned has 1 or 2 batteries/tanks. Now if you can spare a little more in the budget then I'd go with the genitank mini and something like a vision spinner 1300, that way you get a larger capacity vv battery and an adjustable airflow tank. Probably would be just a bit over $30 with a usb charger and wont come with a case or anything but it's a good setup and you wont really have to worry about upgrading unless you want to into mods or just want to add to a current setup .

evods are good for a starter, but after 3-4 weeks the windows will leak, even the glass ones. they always do. there airflow is bad as well. im still new to this aswell only been doing it for a few months i started with plastic evods and the iclear16s till they melted, then i switched to all glass setups including the Evod glass, couldn't figure out why it was always leaking till i read a post on here about the windows being glued in. then i figured out it was indeed my windows leaking. so just keep an eye out for that. good luck.

edit: you can't go wrong with a good Aero Tank V2 or mega. they have great airflow and no leaking issues. they also have the new upgraded kanger coils.

Yep, i took it to a local shop to get a new coil and the guy overtightened and squeezed the windows.
The tank started leaking in the shop. To his credit he gave me a new tank, but i've had no dramas since. Be nice to it : )
When you get it try Vape Dudes for juice. Black honey is really nice ! best one so far for me but there's so many choices out there ... good luck : )

Cool,
The evod starter kit comes with 2 complete units, battery and tank. 5 spare coils.
When these ones die i'll look for other options, so it's good to know about the protanks.
I had no idea there were "tank cracking juices" either ... wow !
There are so many options and all the mod stuff confuses me at the moment.
Only 2 months in, but completely off the cigs since day 1 of the evod, and that's all i really need to know ... for now : )

Thanks for all the suggestions! I have two entire devices in my starter kit, so I think I'll get a mini PT 3 and use one of my EVOD batteries with it so I can keep the plastic tank safe when I want to use a tank cracking juice. The Genitank mini and Vision Spinner 1300 looks like a good setup too, and I'll bookmark those for if I need an upgrade.
