Has there been a new ruling by a judge allowing for the seizure of E-Cigs, Am I missing something here.? I thought that E-Cigs where a legal item to import & export right now, can somebody tell me what the current law is on this issue of import export of E-Cigs and Nic as well. I only want answers from people who actually know what the Law is. Thanks

Are you speaking vendors stock or the average person? While not aware of the law, I just received an order from Eastmall yesterday (ordered 09/03/2010) and it spent approximately 45 minutes in customs Friday night/Saturday morning before my post office got it. There was no juice in it, so I don't know if that would make a difference or not.

This is an older article but has links to the actual documents.

"A U.S. Court of Appeals ruling reinstates the FDA's authority -- at least temporarily -- to stop e-cigarettes from entering the country after a lower court ruled that the agency does not have the authority to regulate electronic cigarettes, even though Congress granted the agency the power to regulate tobacco products in 2009."

Thanks Landjet,

I just don't get them confiscating all this material such as the vaporizers and the rest of the paraphernalia when its the Nicotine that the controversy is over, heck it is legal to vaporize liquids isn't it,? I wish everyone in the industry would use the term vaporizer instead of E-cig. this way maybe the controversy would just be over the nic juice and that's available here in the states in many ways it seems, even better why doesn't someone start manufacturing more here in the states, I don't think they could legally stop them from manufacturing vaporizers could they, heck they sell paraphernalia for other smoking materials and its legal in many states to sell this paraphernalia I believe. Sure seems if someone could start manufacturing here in the states it would be big money for the big hitters that had the money to do so nothing would have to go through customs this way.!
