Is the Kanger brand superior or not?

Hi all - I've got an old Smoking Anywhere (really! - I think they were called "Smoke 51 before) PV with two GREAT batteries that came with GreenSmoke cartomizers. About 8 months old, bought in a mall. The form factor is - I think - KR808D-2 and the batts have a longer and about 1mm narrower thread than the KR808D-1 cartos and batt I just got. Also, the threads are gold (-like) as opposed to the aluminum ones on the newer batts and cartos I've gotten (kr8-1). The newer stuff was bought at an online site with very low prices.

Anyhow, I had the opportunity to dissect one of the "KR808D-2" batteries (needed the threads to make an adapter) and was really impressed with the sturdy construction as opposed to the m40x batts I have taken apart. I want to get some more like these and have run into confusion in reading posts here in reference to Kanger and non-Kanger made batts. Which one should I look for/get - the Kanger or non-Kanger ones?

Thanx!
Rick

The ones I have, have 'thread issues' - whether it's a old carto, new premium carto, the adapter for the KR8 - I don't like to force them but in order to gain contact you do have to or no vape ;-) I had to crank on a cmfrap. cartos to get it to work last night. Some places just don't take care on the threading - not just KR, but some mods are notorious for it.

Yeah, I've seen the thread issue too. On the KR808D-1 cartos and/or the 501 batt I just got. Actually, I think it's the batt threads - heck, there's only two threads. I don't know who makes the battery, though - just a "generic" from heaven gifts.

I read thru some old bookmarks I'd made and it seems I need to find a Kanger if I have cartomizers with higher heater coil resistance because they output an actual 3.7V under load. The GreenSmoke (KR808D-2) cartos I have are 2.5 ohms but the five KR808D-1 cartos I just got from HG are all a full 3.0 ohms. I guess that explains the light hit from them. I suppose you get what you pay for. $15 gets you 2.5 ohms and a good strong TH and vapor, $7 gets you so-so. I got a charger from LeCig last week and they sent me a free carto that is also 2.5 ohms. Whatever tobacco-ish flavor it was (hey, what do you want for free - I was happy for the surprise gift!) didn't appeal to me so I washed it out and refilled with something else but the carto itself is jammin'! I'm guessing that it's one of the ones they sell there for $14 something and so ordered a pack since it LOOKS like the cheap ones are maybe just that and propbably won't last as long being refilled....
