We have some acquaintances who are spending about $180 a week on analogs (yeah, I know) and they want to look into vaping. They don't strike me as having the patience with carts, refilling, buying juice ahead of time, etc. I'm wondering if the two-piece KR8 would be best for them. They'd probably be willing to buy ahead on cartomizers to get away from refilling but I have no idea what these setups cost.
Are there any heavy KR8 vapers out there who can toss me a ballpark cost of the their unit and lots of cartomizers?
They're waiting now on a couple of 510 disposables to see if they even care for it.

so much of all this depends on them and what they like. I would see first if they like the 510s. if they do and really want to kick the habit then the 808s will be less hassle for sure. again it depneds on each persons desire to quit.

If they are spending that much per week on analogs they are killing themselves pretty fast.

hope they like vaping. it will sure save their lives,

sorry dont know where the cheapest 808 kits are but i know the 5 packs of carts are usually around 5.99-8.99 range.

Well,
Figure about 2 cartomizers a day at anywhere between $7-$10 for a pack of 5 ...

If they're gonna refill cartomizers then it's really no less hassle than refilling a 510..
Even better the eGo or tornado because that eliminates the battery life problems of the 510

And now a couple of vendors even have 510 cartomizers...but again refilling carts versus refilling cartomizers is really a toss up...I call em equal

I just bought a kr808 starter kit, a pcc, 2 packs of carts for $70 with shipping from Vapor Kings. Really worth the price. Wasn't expecting to spend that much at first, but I'm happy. No fuss, batteries are lasting all day so far, and still on my first cart. Was a pack a day smoker and so far, I know it's only the first day, I've only had 3 analogs today!

Average price for a kr8 starter kit is around $35 - $45. The cartomizers last much longer than a 510 cartridge and do not leak. Maintenance is much lower even if you refill the cartos which is very easy.
I respectfully but totally disagree with you..
my 510 carts don't leak...they're cheaper since I'm not tossing away the atties when the carts are empty..
Refilling is equal if not easier on the 510..
What maintenance? aside from occasionally cleaning the thread connections which you should do on any model..

Really I have 510s, KR8s, and eGos...

the KR808D-1 is the absolute worst of any of them..
From the cheap feeling flimsy manual button that you're never really sure is engaged unless you're staring at the LED..
to the batteries that either flash or dont flash or charger that somestimes changes color so you never are sure whether you batteries are working right or not..inconsistant and undependable..

Not to mention that when first transitioning and trying to find nic levels and flavors that work for you..the costs in cartomizers is astronomical..
