... the more confused I become!!!

I have been reading up on mods (to buy, not to build). I would like to use KR8 Cartomizers.

1.) Which mods are available ready-to-go for Kr8 Cartos?
2.) If the mod is 901 ready, will a Kr8 Carto work without a DIY fix OR an adapter? If it needs an adapter, what is it called?
3.) What voltage should I be looking at? -- I like some of my juices on my V4L XLs and some on the V4L PT -- Is there a happy in-between mod? I have read a lot of conflicting opinions related to what voltage a cart vapes best but I am thinking that, for me, no higher than 5v (isn't that what the PT is rated?????)

Thanks in advance for all of your help! If this isn't the right place for this type of question, please just let me know!

1) AFAIK, there is no carto-ready mod. they will all require an adapter as they all have sealed connectors.
2) a DIY mod or adapter will be required for the 901 connection. the carto will screw on, but there will be no air flow to the carto. from what I can tell, you could either mod the connection by drilling/cutting vent holes, or use an adapter like this
3) Voltage is subjective. I am not certian, but I believe the Xhaler is the only mod that will do 3.7 and 5V, but apmerage will also change this equation. I am not sure exactly how, but this is why wattage is more importan than voltage. the maH, mor milliamp hours of the battery is thee rating of how many milliamps your batterys can push out over an hour. watts = volts x amps....

Adapters are like $4 at altsmoke, grab a Silver Bullet there only $84 and you cn also get 3 adpter 901-801-kr808d-1 and you will have the best of both worlds being ble to use all Atty's and all voltage 3.7-6-7.2-7.4volts or a GGTS same options, and only unit you will ever need imho

If you're going to buy a mod from Iken definitely go with the Chameleon - it allows you to use a 14500 so you will get much better battery life than with the 10440 battery the laser uses.

The Chameleon is a great little mod and the owner of Ikenvape is one of the nicest guys on the PLANET.

Chameleon uses 14500 size?...sure about that?

was pretty sure that it used the CR123a size (16340)

They are two totally different mods. The Lazer is tiny, and SO convenient. It is on my keychain for easy access when I can't find my batteries (which is often).

The chameleon is both 3.7 and 6 v ready, so it's the best of both worlds. It also comes standard with adapters for 510 and 801 so you can direct drip if you so choose.

for what it's worth I'd go for the Chameleon...I'd shoot for anything that uses a 16340 (CR123a) size...

there's only a handful of batteries really that we wont overstress...all of them are either the 18650 size...or specific ones in the 16340 (CR123a) size..

if I was looking for greatest performance in smallest form factor...the chameleon using a single 3.7V AW LiMN IMR high drain with a carto would be my first choice..

EDIT don't get me wrong I've got a lazer and another mod that uses a 14500 battery...and I enjoy them both immensely....
but truth be told unless you're really diligent about monitoring your batteries...neither the 10440 or even the currently available 14500 batteries are the best choice..
